Silica is a modern Australian restaurant situated right on Kiama's Surf Beach, boasting beautiful views of the coastline. Chef Luke Basic has created a menu with a difference. Serving large and small plates using seasonal produce, most notably, a substantial amount of organic produce from their own garden. We are fully licensed with a bar area upstairs looking over the water. We offer two dining rooms, both with modern furnishings and décor. They welcome all types of functions, including wedding receptions, birthday parties and corporate events.

The Fixed menu was just what we would have ordered as al la carte -- delicious! Cant go past the Steak there!

Table service was excellent. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable. They also have gluten free options, even have a seperate fryer just for gluten free food in the kitchen. Food was fresh and tasty and came out pretty quickly. Loved the ocean view as well! Highly recommend!!

Superb lunch today… food a big tick ✅ - enjoyed oysters, scallops, prawns, barramundi, pasta of the day. The ambience was a bit quiet today (prob due to weather).. . which we didn’t mind! Service was great and our company terrific. All in all, cannot fault anything. Thoroughly enjoyed our day our will definitely return again ☺️

Was a beautiful dinner and night that we’ve had at Silica, understated yet cozy ambience was perfect for that chilly, windy evening. My husband and I enjoyed warm sourdough bread with goat’s cheese and pickled onions as a starter, 2 course meal that we had- scallops were divine, buttery prawns, the mushroom orecchiette pasta dish was hefty and could use a bit more flavor, steak dish was nicely done, roasted pumpkins side was hearty, paired with a nice selection of their Moscato and Pinot Noir 🍷

Unfortunately there was no flexibility with set banquet menu . I was rather disappointed.
