At Smokehouse, heat’n’meat is at the heart of our passion for Modern BBQ. With “Bubba” our specially imported smoker from the U.S. we can create the tastiest, finger-lickin' smoked meats on this side of the pond. Here’s the rub! Before cooking we massage our meat with our own secret blend of herbs and spices to give it the unique flavour only found at Smokehouse. The Wood. For a great BBQ you’re gonna need wood! We prefer Hickory and Cherry to give it a touch of sweetness.

    I want to start this by saying that we have been going here now every few months for almost 10 years. Whether it's a Birthday, Anniversary, Valentine's, or even for big announcements. We announced our first child here, our engagement, and so on. The staff have always been amazing, remember us each time and the food has always been amazing. Any other time this would be a 5-star review. Unfortunately, everything was the other way around last night (and I assume this is a 1 off scenario). Our food took just over an hour to arrive, was not warm (Usually my wife's order comes with a warning from the server that the plate is scolding, and on this occasion, it was lukewarm at best), and was not up to the quality we have come to know from Smokehouse. I hope this was just a matter of it being Valentine's weekend and them being overly busy but it really was a shame. We will of course be back as we have grown very fond of the place and the amazing staff and are chalking this off as a once-off.

    The food here is always very good, but the downside always seems to be the service. Food comes out too slow and some of the waiting staff seem very inexperienced. If they can sort out these aspects then I’d have no negatives at at all

    For the price me and my partner thought it was very expensive for what it was worth. The cake and the jam roly poly was extremely dry. We couldn’t finish it.

    Here goes! We have eaten at Smokehouse numerous times and have always enjoyed their food. However our recent visit was terrible, Our garlic bread starter was doughy and under cooked, we didn’t mention this as we thought let it go. Then my main meal of Belly Pork was black! and I mean like a piece of charcoal. Also I do like carrots that are slightly crunchy but the ones on my plate were raw! rock hard like someone had just peeled them and plated them up, so most of the meal was left (ate chips with really tasty gravy) When eating out I have never ever complained but this was terrible, we couldn’t believe a chef would send food out like that, it was obvious just looking at it it had been burnt to a crisp. When asked if our meal was ok, I told them the pork was overcooked (me being polite), for the inconvenience we was given a free glass of wine! Safe to say we won’t be going back.

    We booked for an 8pm table and we did not have our food until 10 past 9. We thought we were forgotten but, numerous tables around us have been waiting over an hour for their food too. The waitresses were lovely and the food was nice but, we have been to other restaurants that were much busier and served similar menu options and the max wait was atleast 25 mins. It appears that only the meat is cooked from fresh and the chips were just your standard takeaway chips. To summarise the food was ok, the staff were lovely and the wait time was the worse I’ve ever experienced. Sadly we will not be returning.

    Not enough staff on was not greeted as we entered had a party with us for my partners bday had to wait for drinks over 40 mins then staff member blanked us when the rest of party arrived food was ok but not great as it should be service charge added to bill witch we paid as we were fed up by that point of waiting no one checked our table to see if we were ok needed anything

    Has tapas and the selection was great. Portion sizes ideal too. Drinks were fantastic and staff looked after us. It's the second time we've been and enjoyed both times

    New Year’s Eve. Restaurant was busy but service and food still fantastic. Every dish was bursting with flavour. The decor means that noise is absorbed so it never gets overbearingly loud. The service was great, never left without drinks and checked on through the meal. This has quickly become one of our very favourite places and I would definitely recommend
