Authentic share plates designed to pair with alluring cocktails will immerse you within the Mediterranean oasis that is Sofia. Sprinkled with a taste of the owners' Greek lineage, this Southern European-inspired Restaurant and Cocktail bar is made memorable by a plethora of grilled dishes, heritage architecture, and luxurious decor. Nathan Treleaven heads the kitchen in this up-and-coming vibrant space, co-launched with acclaimed Chef and Restauranteur veteran, Justin North, on October 5th, 2022.

    Sofia caters for semi-private, exclusive and corporate events. Our cosy lounge bar can fit up to 40 guests with private access to the bar and access to projector screens.     Food was delicious. Full of flavour and presented well with great service. We had the Murray Cod and the Wagu. Both were cooked to perfection. The bread and olive oil was fabulous one serve would be fine for 4-6 people. The Manouri cheese starter was also a treat and as these are all recommended as sharing plates a group would be perfect.

    Excellent choice for a casual yet sophisticated dining experience in Surry Hills. Our meal was sensational on many levels, with the food being delivered with a lot of attention to detail. Our order was- Starters: Heirloom Tomato Salad, Fried Cheese with Honey and Tuna Crudo. Main: Murray Cod. Sides: Kipfler Potatoes and the Horta. Staff were very attentive and regularly checking in and just making sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves without being overly in your face. Great date night option, or, in my case a last minute 'OMG I forgot to book for our anniversary' random casual dinner in the city type place. Huge thank you to Erine and her team - well done.

    Truly wonderful venue catering to all parties, including families, couples, friends, etc. Great value for money food and wine, wide variety of dishes. Authentic Greek dishes. Fantastic intuitive and friendly service, look forward to our next visit to continue exploring the menu further! Igor

    We had a beautiful night at Sofias. Such lovely food great service and a wonderful atmosphere. It is my 4 th visit to this restaurant and it is consistently great .

    This was my fourth visit to Sofia and each time has been as good as the last! Delicious food, beautiful space and great value for high quality food. Visit this Christmas to try their festive cocktail and great banquet menu options! Highly recommend.

    A really lovely ambiance, good service . We really enjoyed the small share plates , including the tuna tartare, octopus , eggplant salad and salmon . We are planning on returning, very enjoyable.
