It was a quiet pre holiday night at the Ritz. We had excellent service from Joseph. He was attentive and made great recommendations. We tried several appetizers and shared entrees so everyone got a sampling of this delicious Turkish food. I have been to this restaurant a dozen times. It does not disappoint. The vibe in the bar area and outside area is better than the indoor dining.

My friends and I really enjoyed this restaurant and the whole evening at The Ritz. We started with champagne in the Lobby. All of the shareable items we ordered at Sofra were delicious. The bread was amazing. I’m bringing my family back next week. The indoor/outdoor setting is perfect for our weather here.

From arriving to departure the service at every level was spectacular. Our primary server - Will - was exceptional and explained the menu in mouthwatering detail. The octopus appetizer was tender and perfectly prepared as were the mussels and scallop. The beer marinated black cod was done to perfection and the lamb and beef entree was rich and delicious. 10/10!

Hostess was absent so seating took quite some time. When we finally checked in they had not read our request for a chair with arms for handicap guest. They informed us that they had no chairs with arms when we clearly saw an abundant number feet away in their dining outside. Never did it dawn on hostess to bring one over. Another diner took it upon themselves to carry a chair inside. Really disappointing reception. Our server, Omar, was the opposite. Very attentive and kind. Food was good but initial experience really soured the experience.

We had a lovely meal at Sofra. We particularly enjoyed the warm and friendly staff. We chose to sit outside and had dressed warmly. The entire restaurant, inside included, is open to the elements so dress warmly during the winter months. Fleece blankets are available. The experience is worth the extra layers.

The food was disappointing. The presentation was very good. The flavors were just ok. The sauces, particularly the yogurt, overpowered the dish. The main course, braised lamb, was our best dish.

Service was very good except for a slow bar. Almost nobody there but drinks took forever. Hummus was amazing. Husband loved artichokes. He had lamb and beef entree and it was very good. I had chicken skewer and would not get it again. It was chicken thighs which was not expected and not enjoyed. Our server was very attentive.

We picked Sofra based on the reviews and it WAS VERY GOOD overall! We enjoyed the app's I think more than the Entree's but everything was good. (the App's we picked were very small dishes with DIP to spead on your bread) We ordered the Bread its looks like a puffy loaf, with nothing inside, "kinda like a NOM". We ordered the Hummus dip, the Pepper tomato dip, the dumplings and the shrimp "SMALL PLATES"- ALL WERE REALLY AMAZING, great flavor the tomato one was my fav and the shrimp! - The Olive oil was also very rich, good for dipping. I had the Beef and Lamb w/ yogurt it was tasteful, but a bit plain..... Just yogurt and meat wish it had a carb or veggie or even a pasta at the btoom of the bowl; my husband got the lamb chop it was very very good, and my brother got the rib came with 2 small pieces nothing else (Very Small Portion), it had a strong smoke taste and was beyond tender very good....Just not enough for 200 lb man. I think sides might have been separate but we didnt notice and didnt order. The alcohol was good but def on the expensive side for the size of glass. Definetly would go back, but not with a big party. (Portion size is too small for apps)
