Our dream began in late 2014, long before we became the "Best Mexican Restaurant in San Juan Capistrano". It began inside a 17- foot food truck with the burning desire to change the way guests perceived food truck cuisine to be we have always believed that mexican food should be MORE! More complex, modern, enjoyable and healthier for our bodies.

We are excited for our future and can't wait to see what GOD has in store for us.

The last few times it has taken a very long time from ordering to getting our meal. Two Meals of four were brought out and ten!!!! Minutes later the other two were brought out. Food was ok but service was so disjointed.

Apparently new management, charging for chips and salsa refills. Our waiter had too many tables, I guess, because orders were incomplete and inaccurate. Waters weren’t refilled, etc. Kind of disappointing, since this is one of our favorite restaurants.

Germán was an amazing server!! He paid its of attention to us refilling our drinks, recommending good food etc. Food was lovely and butter cake 10/10 as always!!

Super frustrating experience. I’ll give credit and say that it’s not what we are used to while dining at Sol Agave but it was bad enough that I’m writing this. Meat was very much undercooked I ordered an NON alcoholic beverage but was served alcohol Aside for those issues, general service was sub par and not pleasant. It’s going to be a long time before we are back or take any clients back in for dine.

Worst service I’ve ever had in my life. Saw our waiter Felipe twice while being there for 2 hours. Took over an hour to get our food, no drink refills, couldn’t even get silverware for the whole table, and the manager was “too busy” to talk to about our issues. Will never be returning.

It was delicious and the service was so lovely. I got sugar cane filet it was delicious, and a non-alchoholic pina colada.

The food was fantastic. The service could be much better. Our server did a good job. The challenge seemed to be the support staff and the kitchen that were struggling. They struggled to refill chips, refill water etc. There were three of us at dinner, two of us were nearly done with our entrées by the time they brought the third person out his entrée. No offer for a discount, comp or even an apology for his food being brought to the table nearly 20 minutes after everyone else's. We ordered the guacamole trio, they brought out the guacamole but there were no chips so we asked for a refill on the chips… It was about 5 to 10 minutes before the chips got refilled. If they could improve a few of these service related issues, I think they would be a Five star/top-tier restaurant.
