Tasty sophisticated Mexican cuisine in a light open modern room. Great choice in DTSLC and 10 minutes from the airport. Will be back.

I have been to this restaurant many times and it seems to be losing some of it’s magic. My entree, a Trio of seafood items, was served absolutely cold. The dish appeared to come straight from the refrigerator. I hope that the consistency I had experienced at Sol Agave in the past returns on my next visit.

The tables seemed very close together and hard for people to get by. That was frustrating. The tables for 2 were also very small so hard to enjoy appetizers and drinks and then the entrees coming… the food though… was amazing! The favors were so good and our server was fantastic and very attentive.

Sol Agave is a pleasure to dine at with a suave modern look and fantastic Mexican classics to a modern culinary flare. Their bar is excellent with solid cocktails and it’s a great place for birthdays to a nice date night without breaking the bank. The staff knows the menu very well as they all encourage your selections and make great recommendations! Our server Julianna was so right, just order the butter cake even if your full it’s is beyond worth it I’m glad she pushed me to do it haha The main starts we had were fantastic highly recommend the pork bites, but the Queso is delicious as well and it’s great to add on to everything. I wasn’t crazy about the Calamari but it was very tender and the sauce it came with was fantastic. I don’t believe you could pick a bad entree here… listen to the staff, the “Mar Y Tierra” is such a large portion and ludicrously good I want to eat it all over again. I also tried the “Chile Colorado”, which was my second favorite because the short rib is so tender and cooked to perfection in a delicious sauce I could just have it on its own. Lastly if you like green Chili their “Chili Verde” is unique and an excellent example of this place nailing the sauce again in another wonderful dish! Overall highly recommend Sol Agave, I’m a level 2 sommelier and love eating out when I’m traveling and truly had a great time here not to mention the insanely fast service.
