   We were quite disappointed with Son’z. 2/5 cocktails weren’t even close to correctly made. The first round of drinks was incomplete. We ordered a seafood tower and it came quickly, but we had to ask for plates. The waiter took our entree orders and never asked about sauces or sides. The food itself was very good, but the poor service put a downer on the whole experience…and it wasn’t even that busy.

   So I should first start out by saying that the food was delicious - it’s expensive, but the price reflects the experience. You get a nice view of the water pond and waterfall, and the overall vibe is very high end. The only part that this restaurant falls short in, is the location of some of their tables. My wife and I were tabled in the front by a ledge with steps for our honeymoon. In my attempt to leave my seat, I tripped over the ledge and scraped my elbow. Thankfully, a waiter came by and fixed me up with some gauze and medical ointments, but I feel like the location of some of these tables by a ledge can be pretty dangerous. I could have slammed my head against the stairs going down in to the pond. But if it happens to one person, it can happen to anyone right? Besides the gauze and medical ointments, I received no other apologies or concerns for the future. Hence my 1 star review. I think it’s safe to say that the experience was wonderful but the concern was not there. I hope to see future improvements or else seek legal action the next time I’m there.

   As we entered, we both noted the ample spacing between tables and the professionalism of the staff. There was an immediate expectation that this was going to be a good evening. We were not disappointed. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. The side dishes we ordered, individually, were easily large enough for two. Consequently, there was more food than we could eat. This was a perfect dinner for our last night in Hawaii.

   Lauren was our waitress and she was the absolute best. We are on our honeymoon and she made sure that we were taken care of from start to finish. Hope to see her again when we go back!

    It was surprisingly average, a bit disappointing really. The food delicious and atmosphere beautiful but service was mediocre as staff seemed to have too many table commitments to provide the service you would expect from a pricey steakhouse. It is a management issue just our observation..,
