   My college friend for 40 years and I had the most wonderful afternoon tea experience at Sotherton Tea Room in Lincoln, California. From the moment we stepped in, we were welcomed into a beautifully designed, cozy space that felt both elegant and inviting. The experience was made even more special by the outstanding service from Amanda and Jan. They were incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, took the time to explain each dish and tea selection, and made sure we felt completely at home. Their patience and warmth stood out, especially when they helped us capture beautiful memories in different parts of the tea room—because let’s be honest, every corner of this place is Instagram-worthy! Overall, this was a truly unforgettable experience, and we will absolutely be back.

   My girlfriend and I had the best time!! The food and variety of teas were wonderful, and I loved that they let us try as many teas as we'd like. Even though there was a large party sat right next to us, we received great service the whole time. Thank you, Ingrid! She never hovered, but made herself available and checked in frequently enough. So glad we tried it out, because we'll definitely be back!

   It’s weird when we book this through open table, we were asked to pay, then when we got there they are charging us again. They told us that they have nothing to do with open table, so I am not sure if we were charged twice. Hate that part!!! I thought we prepaid already! Then we didnt get our own tea pot so my friend and I had to share the same flavor of tea. The sandwich arent that great. There were 4 mini sandwiches, only cucumber is the good one. I didnt eat the other two. The other mini sandwich that has tomatoes, mozzarella cheese and balsamic glaze, just not a good option to put on a sandwich. Will never go back. The scone…. Feels likes a sweet biscuit with raisins. Not good at all. I was so disappointed! They also gave us a Quiche, that was good and pretty big. If they didnt serve that Id be so hungry. Cause I didnt like most of the mini sandwiches.

   Not a great experience here. The staff wasnt very friendly... the experience was rushed so they could get through people. The tables are packed inside to the point where there is barley walking room. The food was ok.. Bathrooms were dirty. We wont be going back.. especially for $55/per person.

   My two sisters and I just enjoyed the Queen's Tea experience. It was a wonderful time! Our food and service were both top shelf! The Tea room was very busy, and the staff was both friendly and efficient. I visit frequently, and have never been disappointed. Thank you Elaine & staff for another lovely afternoon tea!

   If you enjoy visiting tea rooms it is worth the time just don’t go for dinner

   My friend invited my husband and me to join them for a special Valentine's Day dinner. The event was a prepaid deposit of $50 per person. We sat down with our friends at a nicely appointed table that suggested a four course dining experience (# forks, plates). After 15 minutes of chatting with our friends we were finally approached by a waitress to take our drink order. (Our friends already had their drinks in hand). When the waitress returned with our drinks, she got the orders mixed up and placed my drink in front of my husband. After about 20 minutes we were served our scone - hard and cold. The taste was very bland, considering the fact that it was a "herb scone," I noticed there were no water goblets on the table so I asked if we could have water. The waitress asked if everyone wanted water, and we replied "yes. " (Later, during our meal, I had to interrupt the waitress from eating behind the counter if I could have more water). Never once did anyone come by and refill our water goblets. The Caprese Salad was bleak. Four very small grape tomatoes with a very small spot of tasteless cheese applied to each tomato with a drizzle of balsamic and a couple of basil leaves scattered on the plate. Like I said, very bleak. When all four of us had finished our salad, the waitress came with our main dishes, without removing our salad plates. Her hands were full with the main dishes and she was clearly not going to set them down, so I took the liberty of gathering all four salad plates and four forks and stacked them on the corner of the table. Upon of placing our on-line order, we had two selections, chicken pasta, or seafood pasta. THE CHICKEN PASTA WAS ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! Cold very overcooked hard chicken topped the creamy pasta. My husband took ap piece and tapped it on his goblet and it chimed. The dessert plate had been taken out of the freezer. The chocolate was frozen, a the red cake was dehydrated. THIS PLACE NEEDS TO STICK TO TEA!

   Wonderful place! Food was amazing! Presentation was great! Highly enjoyed. My only con is that we arrived early (we were the first to be seated) but last to be served.

   We really enjoyed treating ourselves to High Tea on Valentine's Day. I was surprised how filling the delicious little sandwiches were. The charming decor, delicious food, and excellent service were top notch! We will be back!

    We had the Queen’s Tea. Everything was exquisite. Presentation was great and their own blended teas were very good. I will be going back again soon. This is an authentic English tea room!
