Launched by acclaimed musician and broadcaster YolanDa Brown OBE DL with music manager and creative entrepreneur Adetokunbo “T” Oyelola, Soul Mama is not just a restaurant but a celebration of music and food. Through a record-breaking crowdfunding campaign, Soul Mama became a Guinness World Record Holder as the largest Kickstarter-funded restaurant globally.

Under the inspired direction of Executive Chef Aleandro Brown, Soul Mama’s menu celebrates a rich fusion of flavours that transports diners on a culinary journey. His passion for cooking was cultivated in Jamaica, learning from Grandma's kitchen. He has honed his expertise across prestigious kitchens, from The Ritz to Gordon Ramsay's establishments.

We recently dined at Soul Mama, and I have to say, it was a fantastic experience! The food was delicious, and the service was great. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we were happy throughout our meal. A highlight of the our brunch was getting to meet the Executive Chef Aleandro Brown which added a personal touch to our visit. We would recommend Soul Mama.

We were there for lunch so cannot really comment on the ambience of what it must be like at an evening meal with live music. We were the only people there at that time so obviously it was quiet. This was right for us but may not be for someone looking for a more busy atmosphere during lunch. Food was excellent and staff were swift, knowledgeable, careful and attentive. Can't complain. Will return for an evening meal in the future to enjoy the live music and busier atmosphere which the venue surely thrives on.

A fantastic venue with great music. The food was very good, although a vegan dessert to accompany the vegan chantilly cream would be good. Service was very slow, but friendly.

DBV CIC had a business dinner at Soul Mama Kitchen and it was lovely! The experience in regards to phone calls and emails to affirm our booking was lovely. We requested a table do that we could have discussions for our steering group and we received this. The overall experience is amazing! We love the venue and entertainment. There is room for improvement as some of our guests didn't receive their full main meal together and plates of food were served separately instead of all mains together. Some of us ended up eating at different times. The food was very tasty but not hot enough which was a shame. One of our guests asked for extra sauce and didn't receive it. The floor manager did offer our table complimentary drinks for an error on the staff members part this was a nice touch. We would book again for sure.

The food was good but the service was not great. We walked in and had to speak to someone at the bar to get seated. Our reservation at the restaurant was for 10pm but we were told the kitchen was about to close as soon as we sat. Also, as soon as the live music was over at about 10.30pm, they started clearing the stage and covering the instruments with dust covers while people were still eating. Overall, the concept of the restaurant seems good but the service and organisation just needs to be a whole lot better.

The vibe of the restaurant and the servers were really nice. However, I wouldn’t put the food and drinks on the same level. We ordered: Mocktail mojito - not great, just tasted of soda water Beef and chicken arepas - these were really nice Jerk salmon and rice and peas - the salmon lacked any jerk flavour, it just tasted of salmon Lamb neck and soul rice - was okay but didn’t stand out , the lamb was a little bland Roti - the roti skin wasn’t nice by itself but was better when I ate it with the meat from the lamb neck Plantain - cooked nicely Overall it was okay, but I doubt I’ll be visiting again

Very enjoyable lunch, menu possibly a bit limited, but excellent quality. Friendly and helpful staff, pleasant ambience and good value. Can imagine the live performance evening nights will be vibrant and hugely enjoyable, good luck to Soul Mama, a positive venue!

Firstly, big thank you to the staff who amended my time slot due to circumstances beyond my control . Secondly , Absolutely enjoyed my first visit here, from the very professional warm , friendly greeting from entrance staff, bar staff, waiters and waitresses (Superb Hospitality & Customer Service) . Ambience also amazing, Great music. Lovely atmosphere. Food too was also amazing. However, only grading four out of five stars due to only on the basis of the portion sizes in comparison to the price, other than that, the food was absolutely 1010. Would definitely recommend & will definitely revisiting. Thank you for having me and my guest 😊😊👍🏾👍🏾

Poor service, food was terrible. 3 dishes had to be sent back and removed from the bill. Others ate simply out of hunger but were not overly impressed. Some maines were delivered as starters. Some of the meals were brought to the table so far apart that some of us had finished before others even received their meal. The manager, Natena, was excellent at handling all of the guests' individual complaints. I would give this restaurant one more visit to experience it on an event night and to see how different the food is when the head chef is on shift. Have attempted to upload photos of some dishes twice, but the system would not/could not upload them
