Located in the heart of Downtown Pompano Beach, South Bar & Kitchen is a contemporary Southern American concept with a heavy Louisiana influence, infusing Cajun and Creole flavors in a tantalizing way. Most of the items don’t really have any flavor. The presentation was good but lacking flavor. The jalapeño mac and cheese was good. I definitely enjoyed that.

The outside area was beautiful. There were not many people to help serve and. No one to pick up food. I had to clear tables. Not great

First time here, met family for dinner and drinks. Mixed reviews on the food and same for cocktails - but it was such a cool place we will definitely give it another shot.

We are locals and have only been 3 times - when we go, we go with our local friends. First time was great (not long after opening). Second time was acceptable (last year) . Third time was very disappointing (Tree lighting ceremony night in PB). Not likely to go back. We love the location, the setting is amazing, beautiful and a it was a real treat with the band and ambiance. Sadly, the food needs to be improved before we’ll come back. We don’t want to give up on this place, so we’ll stop by again for a drink with friends - but we won’t order food.

The service from Alyssa was so poor that the manager,Jacob, was helping her, because we sat there for 30 minutes before we knew who our waitress was, we would ask for a fork, a lemon, drink and she would forget and stray away from our table so we could not get her attention. This job is not her calling, because if it was an off day for her it still would have been better service. Other than the service, (that Jacob helped to save at the end of brunch)the experience was good the food was good(the bacon jam slider was outstanding) it was great to be able to taste all different kinds of food that was on the menu. The grits for the shrimp n grits was not grits. The steak shrimp and chicken were all seasoned very well. I recommend the brunch, just ask for another waitress.

This is our third time at this restaurant and it is absolutely incredible! The servers always doing an amazing job and the food is delicious.

The outside seating area is chilled and has great atmosphere. Service was fantastic. The unlimited brunch was great. Being able to just order anything and everything to share made for a great brunch

We made reservations for a date night here on Friday. We've never been, but based on the menu and reviews, we decided to give it a try. The ambiance is nice and reminds me of a location in New Orleans...but I think that's the point, as the menu favors this style of food, too. We were please with how good everything tasted, including the desert. Service was a bit slow to initially bring out the first appetizer, but after that, the rest came quickly. We will DEFINITELY return to try a few other things on the menu!

On Sundays, there’s a brunch experience $49.99 unlimited food and $25 I believe, bottomless mimosas .. SERVICE was horrible. It just was too chaotic. It took 25 minutes just to get a mimosa.. our waitress insisted on biscuits and watermelon as our starters when we insisted we were ready to order and did not want that. When we mentioned our bottomless mimosas she insisted on bringing us waters. It took 30 min to receive our second drink and a total of 50 minutes for us to receive our “starters”. The blue crab beignets were DELICIOUS but unfortunately I had to nip it out the bud and ask for the manager and leave completely. It is just too much spent for subpar food And small tapas (yes, I know what tapas mean).
