This place was fantastic! Went for brunch. Portions are perfect, not the typical oversized that ends up being tossed. Price is spot on and food was amazing. If I lived in Kirkland, I'd be there every weekend trying a new menu item!

They were overbooked on Valentine’s Day, we waited for one hour before being seated despite having a reservation. Lobster bisque was pretty salty. Food not as good as the last time we went.

This was not worth it, do not come for valentines day. Dinner took 3 hours to get our prie fixe menu, dont know if its because they overbooked tables or not enough staff or just disorganization in the kitchen but a pre determined pri fix menu should be streamlined since most of the restaurant patrons were coming for this menu. The food was also extremely salty for the lobster bisque, lobster risotto. I also got the salmon caviar crostini, it was one crostini with the tiniest caviar. The duck entree was ordered also, this was the driest duck, overcooked for sure, at least drape it a little with some sauce if you put out a dry duck. The meal for two came out to $300, with 3 hours of dining since we were waiting for the food to come out.

Great food, service a bit slow but to be expected for Valentine’s Day. Made up for it with exceptional menu and a glass of champagne.

We had a wonderful Valentines dinner. The pre fix menu had many great choices. We chose: Lobster bisque, salmon caviar crostini, waygu NY Steak with a lobster tail and flourless choc cake. Butternut squash soup, buratta, lobster risotto and crème burley. Every item was cooked to perfection. I have never heard my husband give so much praise to how outstanding his steak was. The timing of each part of the 4 course meal was perfect. The musician played great music with out being to loud. Ryan our favorite server took great care of us. We will be back. Sparrow is our favorite neighborhood restaurant! (I forgot to include that there was a singe stemmed red rose on our table when we were seated which I thought was a very nice touch done for all guests)

I love Sparrow. However, they over promised and under delivered on a holiday. We waited over 50 minutes to get our appetizer and then received the wrong next course. It was not then rushed. It was only brought out after finishing our entrees. The staff were amazing, kind and helpful. They just did not plan for the amount of people and the time it would actually take to serve all of them. I had no problem with the wait except that my risotto came out extremely under cooked. Amazing flavor, but undercooked. Highly recommend on any other day.

Had never been to Sparrow and we were very excited to spend our Valentine’s Day evening there. Unfortunately it seemed the restaurant was understaffed. We spent the majority of our meal without water waiting for our water to be refilled. Then after asking for our leftovers to be boxed they still got thrown out. We waited almost 45 mins for our deserts before finally asking to have them boxed to go. Not the type of experience I hoped for after paying over $350 for dinner for two.

The food was great; service was not. The Valentine's prix fixe dinner was superb. First courses - lobster bisque was rich and creamy with lots of lobster bits and the winter salad was superb with lots of berries. Second courses - lovely multi-colored roasted baby carrots and smoked salmon (actually lox not smoked salmon) and caviar on crostini was also excellent. Third course (main) - perfectly prepared New York steak with creamed potatoes and fall-off-the-bone delicious leg of lamb with baby potatoes. Fourth courses (dessert) - super rich coffee cream gelato and fruity marionberry sorbet. The problems were that our second course arrive before we could finish the first course and then on top of that, after barely starting the second course our main (third) course arrived. We felt very rushed. Then the wine we ordered at the beginning did not show up until we were both finished with our main courses. Finally, we waited over 30 minutes (no exaggeration) for our desserts. Very disappointing, seemed like our server was totally frazzled for whatever reason. We will return to Sparrow, but definitely not for a special occasion.

Overall really good experience. I can see why they get 5's. The waiter was very friendly, but did seem to disappear a bit. They seated us quickly but did take a little time to get drink orders in. Nothing terrible by any means. The Cesar and shrimp salads were amazing. The Manhattan I had was one of the best. The rigatoni was 5 stars, but the chicken dish was no more than 3 stars at best. The shishito peppers side is 5 stars all day. Overall 4 out of 5 stars, could use some improvement, but would try again.
