Love the setting and the hotel is beautiful. Also the service is good and staff seem well trained. The problem was the food. Two years ago this was our favorite restaurant but something really changed. The menu isn’t as creative and now most things are fried and have way too much sauce. Some items we tried were almost not edible they were so bad. If they fix the food this would be a great place again. And turn the volume down on the dj. It seems like they are going for a night club vibe and food is now an after thought. Way too expensive for the quality.

This is a dining experience that is hard to duplicate. The service is excellent, and each dish is very creative and presented beautifully. And everything is a taste sensation! It's pricey, but worth it.

The food is absolutely yummy..presentation was lovely…however our waiter over the top…Maciel he was over the top and on his game…his service was wonderful…he is 5 star….

The food was fantastic, and the service was friendly and helpful. The ambience of the restaurant and the whole complex is wonderful. It’s expensive but the portions are large.

Excellent ambience, excellent food, and the service was outstanding. Our server Maciel was extremely helpful and attentive. The food was great. Would go again.

Spice Market is a pretty place, and the service is attentive. Unfortunately, the drinks and the food were below par. We went on a Friday night, because they advertised it as Japanese night. As it turned out, only the standard menu was offered. The service person had no explanation. We ordered a martini dry and received one full of olive juice. The starters, tuna tartare and orange chicken were tasty. For entrees we had lamb dumplings and a duck dish. Both were below par. All in all it was the poorest dinner we have had in four weeks in San Miguel. We have now been to Spice Market twice over the years, and we will not return.
