Stella represents an expression of artistry across the mediums of cuisine, art, and design. Italian for ‘star’, Stella is inspired by the traditions of the traveling hearth of the coastal and pastoral communities of Southern, Central, and Northern Italy, enriched with local, seasonal California ingredients.

A creative collaboration between restaurateur, Janet Zuccarini, and Executive Chef Rob Gentile, Stella brings modern twists on age-old Italian culinary traditions to West Hollywood.

Inspired by 1950s Italy and created by award-winning designer Wendy Haworth, the restaurant features bold architectural details, rich woods, and vintage-inspired furniture. The multi-level restaurant is complete with private dining rooms and an intimate terrace.

With an emphasis on unique dining experiences at every turn, Stella offers a refreshing take on time-honored Italian recipes, where the quality of ingredients takes center stage.

I usually dine at Cipriani, Tower Bar, Nobu Malibu, Milano, Catch Steak, and Polo Lounge, but I found the food here to be overpriced. The pasta was too al dente and overly salty—I woke up twice just to drink water. Our table was uncomfortably close to the restroom, which made for a busy and unpleasant dining experience. A table should not be placed in such a high-traffic area. The valet parking was also inconvenient. Most places charge around $20, even Mr. Chow in Beverly Hills is $14, but here, you have to pick up your car from a building ramp exit, which felt unnecessary. The drinks were disappointing—my Singapore Sling had no alcohol and tasted like watered-down lemon soda. Overall, I expected a more enjoyable experience. The waiter seemed overwhelmed with too many tables, and we had to remind them to remove our empty plates after the salad.

Service was horrible. Staff didn’t check on us once for over an hour and never asked if we wanted any additional drinks.

Currently my favorite restaurant in LA. Hits every time. The service is outstanding. The vibe is comfortable with energy. The food is truly stunning. I came from the carbonara pizza and left in awe of the orecchiette with pea pesto, fava beans, pistachios, and ricotta. It is so fresh. The lemon and peas are spring in a bite. Can’t wait to go back.

Today was SOOO DISAPPOINTING! Mortadella Pizza came out cold (yes, mortadella and cheese is not supposed to be hot but crust tasted like cold pita bread). Reordered the seafood pasta - it was SOOO SALTY, it was inedible. Finally ordered the signature carbonara pizza - it was hot (thank goodness) but crust was dry, egg wasn’t runny. What happened?!! Been a frequent and loyal customer of Stella since it opened, literally revisiting every week as an individual family, with extended family, bringing multiple families often with junior kids and it was always great, even booking the private room multiple times. What happened?! 🥹Hope this WEHO neighborhood joint improves!!!

Would not recommend to anyone. Menu for brunch had so few breakfast and lunch options, the majority was heavy dinner options. Ended up with the recommended pancakes but asked for side of bacon which they said they do not have (could not even accommodate bacon for a brunch at one of LA’s brunch hotspots??). Heavy pastas and pizzas for brunch was not the vibe. $200 for a sober brunch is not expensive but overpriced. The service was poor, the restaurant was half empty but reservations show few options to even get a spot. At first arriving I thought they were closed. I assume the majority of the bill is being spent on marketing to sell the idea of exclusively and to get on “best of” lists. A big huge never again.
