The restaurant was founded in 2023 by owner Stella Spanu, a Boulder local. Honoring her Italian heritage and embracing her passion for food and hospitality, Spanu’s philosophy is to have a dining experience that stimulates all senses by incorporating visual art, design, music, premier service, comfortable seating and fresh, authentic Italian cuisine. The space, an Art Deco inspiration, was conceptualized and built by architect Miguel Quismondo.

Stella's is showcasing a world-class menu, highlighting traditions from all over Italy, with house-made pastas with imported ingredients directly from Italy, and locally sourced ingredients from Colorado farms. The menu is accompanied by an extensive selection of Italian wines and specialty cocktails.

Friday and Saturday, after dinner service, the space will transform into a lounge with a dance floor with a state-of-the-art sound system, while guests are encouraged to enjoy beverages, the dance floor, and a wide variety of music.

We loved everything about this restaurant! Great modern decor, very friendly and helpful server, clever cocktails and the food is amazing - seriously everything we ordered was delicious. Wish we weren’t from out of town - we would be regulars if we lived in Boulder!

Very enjoyable dinner — we will be back! Limited, but fine wine selection and the food was delicious. Loved the short ribs and my husband enjoyed his pasta.

The ambience and service is unprecedented, however, the food is lackluster and leaves you wanting more. Not only are the portion sizes extremely small for the price you pay; The flavor is also lacking and texture is nonexistent.

Stella's is simply fabulous. Food, service, ambiance are all absolutely impeccable. I have just one caution for people like us who may not like the VERY loud electronic dance music that begins at 8pm (really really wish they would not start the music until after 9pm)... if you want more of a quiet dinner, plan to arrive by 6pm so you can be on your way home before the headache inducing thumping bass begins.

A pleasant experience. The service was very good. The food was tasty. The portions were small. The ambience was nice and quiet enough for conversation.

Given what we’ve heard about Stella’s, was expecting much better food. The portions were small and pricey, which I’m normally fine with if the food is great. Felt like Stella’s was trying to be “better” than it was with the ambiance and small, but well played portions (trying to distract from food).

One of the best dining experiences - start to finish - that we’ve had. The food was outstanding: fresh, flavorful and delicious. Nice portion sizes - enough to share bites without being overwhelming. Our server was welcoming, friendly and helpful. The space is very cool and comfortable and the live jazz was awesome. Really high quality without being pretentious. We’ll be back, for sure!
