Steuben’s is named after a restaurant in Boston that my Great Uncles, Max and Joe, opened in 1945. Steuben's became a famous Boston restaurant, nightclub, and hotspot from the 1940’s to the 1960’s on Boylston Street. The Vienna Room, The Cave, and The Blue Room were all part of the Steuben's space and hosted Big Band, Jazz, and Swing groups with The Rat Pack, proms and sweet sixteens, and more. In its prime, Steuben’s was the center of the Boston dining and nightlife scene.

                                                                                                          The chicken pot pie was delicious, big enough to feed two people. French onion soup had plenty of onions done just right and we liked the entree sized house salad. A great lunch for two people priced under $55 including the 4% surcharge for back-of-house staff. The vibes from staff— servers, expediters, hostess and bartender — were all very positive

He checked on us soooo many times to where it was annoying. Not sure if that's the managers rules but sometimes when a waiter check on you too many times it feel like they want you out of there or your suspicious. So great service but tooooo much checking. I know its a hard balance but it started to become irritating.

                                                                                                          We had friends in from out of town and had high hopes for this place, all four of us ordered different things, and every Andrea was absolutely loaded with salt. LOADED. THE SERVICE IS GOOD, THE PEOPLE ARE NICE, BUT THEY NEED TO LIGHTEN UP ON THE SALT FOR SURE. DISAPPOINTING.

                                                                                                          Upon arrival, we found the place extremely busy. It took a minute for us to get seated, but once we did, the staff teamwork was exceptional. We had made a reservation in their holiday pop-up area. The ambiance was delightful, and the food was great.

                                                                                                          Yes, I know, inflation and all that jazz... but if I spend $90 for a sandwich, a piece of salmon on a bed of chickpeas (who came up with this?) and a grilled cheese for a kid, plus a soda and a drink, I expect at least the food to be decent. Stale bread, taste is nothing to write home about. I mean, at least try, use some decent bread, that would make a huge difference. It's not like if you write "executive chef" on the menu and name drop Guy Fieri your food automatically becomes tasty. Also, I get it, we did not order at the same time, the food did not arrive at the same time... but I'd expect the person who ordered first to get it first? It sounds like your order management is a bit off. I like the place, I want to see it continue to succeed. They need small improvements, and if they don't make them, it's just out of laziness or incompetence. Chop chop
