Overlooking the beautiful Islington Green, you’ll be welcomed by a spacious and inviting atmosphere with a large open-plan dining room and kitchen, a lounge and bar to relax for a cocktail or two, as well as seating outside to watch the world go by.

Serving our signature quality sushi and sticks, along with an extensive drinks menu of cocktails, sake and Japanese teas – there’s something to suit every taste.

Near or far, we can’t wait to welcome the fine people of Islington and our lovely neighbours from Hampstead, Belsize Park, and Highgate.

    If you're a parent with young kids (3yrs+), get ready for a chilled family lunchtime experience you’ve probably never had. Every Sunday, 11.30am - 4pm, at our newly opened Sticks ‘n’ Sushi on Upper Street in Islington, The Kids’ Table team is in residence to entertain your little folk with creative fun while you enjoy a long, leisurely lunch of sushi and sticks from the grill. Book a table and request The Kids’ Table, complimentary to all of our dining guests. Minimum age 3yrs and over. Kids menus at Sticks’n’Sushi start from just 10 per bento box, choose either sticks or sushi, or both for 12.

    I love Sticks N Sushi in Islington. The food is excellent and there is a lot of choice at all prices but this time I found the service was not very good. There were only a few tables occupied and most of the time, we could not see any staff members around. Hopefully next time we go it will be better. Previously the service had been excellent but this time I could not see any of the staff we had before and the server who attended to us was very new.

    This is a relatively new restaurant from the chain and the staff clearly needs some training. It took quite a while to get orders in and the food wasn't quite up to the price level. The Nigiris for example were rough, with a lot of rice and the fish poorly cut. Stick 'N Sushi is always a joy but this one left me a bit disappointed.

    Visited the branch on Valentine's day with my wife. It was very busy but the organisation of the staff was levels above. They handled the busy period with class. We had a booking for 10pm and was greeted by a member of the front of house staff. We were both handed drinks menus and offered seating while we waited for our table. Within a few mins the front of house staff placed us in a beautiful cosy part of the restaurant. It was my first time in Sticks N Sushi and so far the experience was so calming. The décor, created such a relaxing atmosphere and table and seating were so comfortable. We ordered the special Valentine's Koibito "the person you love" Menu, as it was our first time. It gave us the opportunity to try a variety of dishes at once. A very friendly and knowledge member of staff with short dreadlocked hair, helped explain all the dishes we would get, matching the description's to the photo. (a classy thought). The ENTIRE menu was so delicious, but the stand out dishes were: Starters LOBSTER & IKURA UDON Lobster bisque with lobster, ikura and udon noodles GRILLED EDAMAME Supreme soy & soya sesame KANI KOROKKE Crab croquettes with wasabi Caesar ------------------------------------------------------------- Maki SOFT SHELL Soft shell crab with masago & spicy sauce ------------------------------------------------------------- Desserts MATCHA Dark chocolate fondant with matcha core, vanilla ice cream & matcha cookie crumble ------------------------------------------------------------- A recommended place for an intimate meal with your loved one, especially if you love Sushi. The staff and decor really make this place, along with the food of course!

    We had the special St Valentine menu and it was absolutely great. Lots of very delicious dishes were served and we had a great time.
