Welcome to The Stile Bridge, we have recently re-opened under new ownership and management following our sister restaurant "The Poet at Matfield".
We serve food lunch and dinner from Tuesday to Sunday, serving drinks & Bar snacks all day.
We source all our produce locally, finding inspiration from South America, Asia, South Africa and Europe to bring together a "New World" menu with Wines from across the earth to compliment your meal.

We had a family Sunday lunch at the Stile Bridge and as usual it was excellent. The roast dinners were fantastic - cauliflower cheese was delicious. The staff were great, good friendly service. It's a really nice place to eat, food good, service good and a very relaxed atmosphere. We have been visiting since it first opened and the food has never disappointed. Be warned - booking is essential if you wish to have the Sunday Roast. We will be back soon!

It has been some time since we last visited The Stile Bridge and much has happened in the intervening period. It was good then and even better now! The dining area has been upgraded which enhances the experience. Above all the food is excellent - there’s a wide choice and the dishes are delicious and cooked to perfection - and it’s good value too. We both started with the quail, and pork croquette and loved every bite. Maggie thoroughly enjoyed her Atlantic halibut main course whilst I devoured a succulent pork sirloin, both well accompanied with their respective sauces and well cooked vegetables. The wine list is interesting and good value too, and the service pleasant and attentive. We’ll be back!

Another great meal at this local gem. This time it was a Valentines tasting menu offering and all the courses delighted. Of special note were the scallops with smoked eel and then the halibut... beautifully cooked. Not forgetting the white chocolate petit fours... exquisite! A word about the service - fantastic. Will keep returning for sure

I've now been here twice - the second time was on a busy Valentines Day - and I can't fault anything. The Valentines set menu was absolutely delicious and I loved every bite. Despite it being busy, all the staff were lovely and cheerful, contributing to a nice relaxed atmosphere. The setting and food are unpretentious, but the meals are such high quality. I've recommended The Stile Bridge to everyone I know locally.

A fabulous meal with every attention to detail in evidence. The food is of the highest standard & superbly presented. Took my 10 year old niece for her birthday & the staff were just delightful with her. The chef came out to talk to her personally as she is very interested in food & does a lot of cooking. Sooo impressed. Beautiful dining area with big roaring fire. What more could you want. I can’t recommend it highly enough

We love this place - the food is always so full of flavour and special. The staff are all really friendly and attentive. Such a great calming atmosphere - never feel rushed and always good value - the chef and all the staff are a credit to the stilebridge - thank you for a lovely time ❤️

Outstanding in every way! We love it here (best Sunday lunch!) and thought we’d have a Saturday lunch. Loved it. Food was fantastic and service just as good! Great selection of wines and gins too! Will be back!
