STIR is the perfect restaurant to sip a craft cocktail over a dozen oysters, enjoy a night out, or meet for lunch. Located in the historic Chattanooga Choo Choo complex, the restaurant is an open-air concept with a large, heated outdoor patio. We are open for lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch.

Great food starts with fresh, local ingredients. Our kitchen prepares everything from scratch, and our signature raw bar is stocked with fresh oysters and seasonal seafood.

STIR is famous for craft cocktails. We freeze and carve 300-pound blocks of artisanal ice in-house, age certain cocktails in oak barrels for richer flavors, and place others on draft for crispness and carbonation. The result: categorically elevated cocktails. Our passion for fine spirits also compels us to find and share rare bottles, many of which are extremely difficult to procure.

    Food and service were excellent…the oysters were to die for….mac and cheese with seafood was out of this world.

    Oysters were great, cocktails solid. Rest was very poor. Steak and ravioli dish came out cold with a lump of cold butter on the plate. Server was too busy talking to her friends to notice us not eating. Finally comes over only to say I’ll be right back, goes to wait on another table before alerting the kitchen. Terrible service and not what I expected of this place based on reviews.

    Loved the oysters Rockefeller! My friend had the chopped seafood salad which I will definitely order next time! Fun venue, great drinks.

    ELLA was our server and she did a great job. She was thorough explaining items on the menu. She was great and the food was fantastic. We started with the lobster crab bisque which was wonderful. I had the Halibut piccata and my husband had the filet. Both meals were excellent. We finished with a delicious expresso martini. We will definitely will be back on our next trip to town. Glad we found this place for sure.

    This was our first time eating at the restaurant. My wife and I could not say enough good things about it. Our waitress (Sarah) was amazing. We both were impressed how she made sure we were enjoying our meal. You could tell she truly enjoyed what she does. This was an amazing experience. Great job STIR staff…. Donnie

    The restaurant was very busy and we had to wait for our reserved table, but the food and wait staff were incredible. We will definitely go back for another meal soon.

    STIR is awesome! Maddy was our server and she was informative and helpful! My husband and I shared the crab soup which was excellent! My husband had the shrimp and cheese grits and he loved it! I had the filet mignon and goat cheese ravioli which was delicious!

    We went to Stir for the first time and it was nothing short of wonderful. Our server Nate H. was excellent. He was super knowledgeable about the menu and offered drink suggestions, and was very attentive always checking in to make sure we were all set. We enjoyed our experience at Stir and will definitely be back! We've already recommended it to a couple of people! :)
