   it was a good experience however they left a bad taste in my mouth, by givimg me spoiled tiramisu which was bag for me to take home so i didnt see and taste until after i left

   I came for a reservation last night for my birthday and waited 20 mins for a menu. So after that we left and went to another restaurant. We did not stay here the service was terrible and they were overwhelmed and SEVERELY understaffed. Would not recommend for dinner on the weekend or at all to be honest.

   We arrived just as they opened. First time cooking/grilling/searing meat myself. Had the lamb chops, daughter had the steak. The ambiance was like that, jazzing and welcoming. Tracy our waitress was outstanding.

   Website states the establishment is open from 1pm-9pm. I had a reservation for 3:30pm. I arrived at 3:45 pm. Doors were locked . I called the number on the site, the person on the other end said they don’t open till 5, but will let someone in the kitchen know to open the door for me and my party of 3. The young lady from the kitchen did the best she can with the circumstances. We didn’t have a waiter , the heat wasn’t on. I was ready to just leave but I didn’t want to lady from the kitchen to feel bad. So I order two appetizers for my table of 3. Once we ate we just left to find another place for lunch/dinner .

   I hopped on a plane and traveled over 1,000 miles to NY. I chose this restaurant out of all restaurants in NYC to celebrate a solo birthday there - 11/27. They canceled my reservation an hour before. I had just finished my makeup and gotten dressed; had an Uber ready. Reservations should not have been taken if they were going to close their establishment. I had not done my research on any other place so my bday was ruined and ended up sitting at a bar at my hotel who gave me a scoop of ice cream with a candle. I planned and structured my bday so well, I’m sure things happen but I wish they would have done all they could do to simply honor the reservation that was made. .

   I never made it in the restaurant. Called to make reservation for my teen’s birthday and spoke with the hostess who stated she will get back to me to confirm. Received a text from her at 1 AM, stating the restaurant will be closed. The next day in The morning, received another text stating the restaurant will be open. My reservation was at 5:30 pm. Lol. Went to the restaurant and it was CLOSED. The chef and another man hurried out of the restaurant and insisted we go around the corner to the hookah restaurant because they did not had a waitress. The chef then said he will try to accommodate my guests of nine people and left to check on what he can do. Of course I left, I had a feeling something is off with this restaurant. I don’t think this restaurant is not ready to serve the customers. Because of my bad experience with this restaurant, of course, I would not recommend to anyone. I should have listened to the other bad reviews as a sign to not go. The hostess who made reservation never even sent an apology.

   200 dollars later and I’m home cooking. Rice under cooked, asparagus, burnt and protein over seasoned. Was a party of two with the restaurant to myself but 30 min to receive food. Chef and waitress arguing. And told current sold out of vegetables. Would not recommend. The highlight of the evening was the frozen drinks

   Tracey was an exceptional host. The appetizers are amazing along with the sangrias. I was not happy about the entrée grilled salmon and the wild rice. The rice was hard and the asparagus were not good. The manager was super honest and accommodating. The ambiance gets a 10

    Ambiance is nice. Trendy and cozy. Food is also tasty but the service leaves much to be desired and all the monetary add ons without a policy stated anywhere leaves much to be desired for this establishment. Note: $40 gratuity was automatically added to my bill for a party of 2. Extra shots in your drink are $30 each and if you are not paying in cash there is also an additional fee added. None of this is noted anywhere either. Sneaky fees are not places of business I frequent
