When we arrived at Symposium, we realized that the air conditioning was off. On speaking with the manager, they admitted that they turned the air off because there were so many people on the patio despite the fact that there was an equal number in the restaurant. The food is mediocre at best, the prices are high, and there was absolutely no service after delivering the food. Anything I needed got up from the table myself and asked someone at the bar for something as simple as a serviette or a glass of water. I will not be returning to this restaurant anytime soon. Actually, anytime ever.

GREAT for large party. Reserved at Symposium Restaurant Thornhill for a party of 20 after dad's funeral at Holy Cross Cemetery at Yonge and Highway 7. We reserved a week ahead and planned a preset menu as suggested with a lot of variety. The menu included appetizers to be on the tables as soon as our family arrived along with bottled water and white wine on ice, very very appreciated as everyone was ready for lunch. Service was excellent. All food came out quickly but we did not feel rushed at all. Everything tasted delicious. Highlights were the vegetarian zucchini noodles that were recommended by the restaurant- so good, grilled vegetable flatbread cut up for single slices and the dusted shrimp was amazing. The staff had take out containers ready for the leftovers. After a beautiful ceremony and proper send off, it was nice to dine together close to the cemetery and have everything ready for us so that we could enjoy with family and friends without any stress. Would highly recommend. Also there was another large party of networking ladies at the same time, so I guess it's the place to go for large groups in Thornhill.

The food and service quality was so low as compared to other Cafe Symposiums. I am highly disappointed in this restaurant.

We had a get together brunch for four. Service was great as were our meals. It was quiet which made conversations easy.

Fabulous time. Server couldn’t have been nicer. Would definitely go back. Great portion and exactly what I ordered and wanted.

Food was good. Fruit salad overpriced and mushy. Server wasn’t that attentive. Don’t know if I would return again.
