Top rated Open Table Diner's Choice for 7 years running. Our chef-owner Brandon Hufnagel is a Culinary Institute of America alumni and has spent over 30 years in the hospitality industry.
Built in 1837 and beautifully restored, Table 1837 features dining areas adorned by linen draped tables, rough hewn beams, original stone and brick work, a spring-fed fountain, wine cellar dining, outdoor patio, a bar and lounge areas.
A scenic drive, 15 minutes from York-PA, 40 minutes from Baltimore-MD or Harrisburg-PA, 50 min from Gettysburg-PA or Lancaster-PA.

    Table 1837 at the Mill Inn was welcoming from the moment we arrived. Out table was ready. Immediately greated by our server (Sue). She was educated about specials and menu. We got our drinks and ordered food right away. We did not feel rushed. The decor was very warm and welcoming. The food was was assembled with great thought. Came out hot! Notable dishes were short rib, salmon, crab/lobster bisque. Wine prices were a little excessive. Overall experience was exceptional.

    Cod was rubbery and not fresh. Food came out faster than our waitress could handle. Bar drinks took a while on top of it all. Not worth the 300 tab which I’m fine paying for a good experience.

    My fiancé and I had our engagement dinner at Table 1837. It was pitch perfect. Wonderful country ambiance, but elegant. The live piano player also helped set the tone. Service was attentive, kind, and energetic - they made us feel like our engagement really mattered to them. I wouldn't hesitate to go back for another special occasion.

    First time at 1837. Food was good, but not spectacular. The back room with spring was very cozy.

    We were celebrating our 4th wedding anniversary and had a wonderful experience. We were politely greeted and guided to our table which had a small sign wishing us the best. What a great touch. A glass of champagne was given to the two of us! We decided on the 5 course option. The food was outstanding! Everything was fresh and delicious. Our server (sadly can’t remember her name) was on point. She did a remarkable job. We will be back!!

    The food and service were fantastic. The 5 course menu is a great value and provides a dynamic dining experience. While it seemed a little on the dark side in the dining room, the ambiance was nice.

    The glen rock Mill inn underwent major renovations when Brandon took over as the chef . Since then the food has become 5 star along with updated rooms and a general face lift for the dining areas . We had a post wedding celebration in the new lounge which was fantastic . Every meal we have had there has been superlative : and the staff are great . Highly recommend for a special eve out
