Takito Street, a playful Mexican Street food joint with a playful, contemporary vibe is OPEN across from DePaul University in Lincoln Park. We offer artisanal street tacos made to order (handmade tortillas) and a variety of fresh fruit margaritas Takito restaurants are known for. A scratch kitchen, innovative bar program and a genuinely friendly staff make Takito Street a perfect addition to the DePaul University & Lincoln Park dining scene. Our small Chicago-bred restaurant group has successfully served over 800k guests. A few fun days to consider: Tuesday: Taco Tuesday Friday: Free Latin Dance Class, 9:30pm- 10pm (enjoy dinner before) Saturday/Sunday: $18pp bottomless mimosa brunch (entree must be ordered)

It was a great experience at Takito. The tacos, esquites and margaritas were amazing. The Ponce taco stole the show as it was the fan favorite. We came to find out that it was the last night the restaurant was going to be open. So sad! We loved it so much and wanted to go back but at least we experienced a wonderful time there. Jordan took care of us and she went above and beyond to ensure we were good. Thank you for a great memory and saving the night by hosting us at last minute to celebrate my husband’s birthday.

I’m saddened to hear that all their locations have closed. They always had great food and drinks. Their salsa night was enjoyable as there are very few bars/restaurants that offer that experience. I really hope the best for the owner and the staff.

Had a great time, for the last time. Had to go and show love before they close down. Sad to see them go.

Mushroom tacos weren’t great and it is frustrating you can’t mix the types of tacos when getting 2 or 3. Margaritas were delicious! The lightbulbs changing colors constantly was kind of trippy too.

Did you know each tortilla is rolled out fresh from scratch and composed when you order it. Offering different kinds every night is time consuming but you can mix & match on Tuesdays. It's a great day to sample the many different flavors, Hope we see you then! Or o=-for Disco Brunch on Sat & Sun! Cheers!

Don’t get the salsa trio. My friend got it and it was literally not salsa…lol. Looked more like cremes and purées and none of them were good. I also got a side of rice which was just edible. I have never been to a Latin restaurant that didn’t have decent or good rice. Do not get the refried beans. Okay on to what you should get. If you choose to dine here get the steak tacos. Nothing special and extremely tiny but the only thing that was decent. I think the margarita was good. I didn’t have one but my friend did. The mango one and she seemed to like it. I will not come back here to dine but they do offer dancing on Friday nights at 9 if you are into that. It was starting when we were leaving

Best bottomless mimosa deal I've ever seen ($18), delicious food (recommend the queso fundido with chorizo), lovely service (shout out to Kayla!). There's a DJ playing music which was on the border of too loud, but not too bad and it kept the ambiance upbeat. Will definitely be going back.

We went here for a special occasion. They put in a lot of extra effort to make sure he had a fun birthday celebration. The staff was very kind and tentative. The food was quick and absolutely delicious!! Would definitely recommend this restaurant for casual eats or larger parties!
