TAO Asian Bistro & Lounge offers a distinctive culinary experience in the most dramatic setting Mohegan Sun has to offer. Guests can choose from a selection of Asian-inspired specialties, focusing on Chinese, Japanese and Thai techniques and ingredients; including signature dishes like the Satay of Chilean Sea Bass, Lobster Wontons, Peking Duck, Crispy Snapper in “Sand,” and Tuna Sashimi Pringle. TAO Asian Bistro & Lounge’s beverage program pairs perfectly with approachable craft cocktails and extensive sake offerings. The new restaurant at Mohegan Sun is located off the Sky Tower Hotel Lobby and features several notable elements that Guests have come to expect from the iconic brand, including a 16-foot-tall Quan Yin statue anchoring the main dining room.

    We ordered the tuna tartare, satay sea bass, Brussels sprouts, scallop sashimi & salmon avocado roll. Everything was very good - the sea bass and the scallops were amazing! The tuna had too much sticky rice and the sprouts were good but I wouldn’t order them again. Service was a bit slow, especially considering the waitress said it was a slow night. It’s dark and loud. Cool decor but too dark. Drinks were phenomenal as well. We ordered the divinity, mango chili, Tao-tini and a dirty martini. All excellent.

    Brought five of my nieces to celebrate one of my niece’s 21st birthday, and Tao did not disappoint! Everything was delicious, and the experience was amazing as always. Thank you help solidifying me as the cool uncle who takes his nieces to the coolest places!

    The chicken satay was good tender and the peanut sauce was amazing. The orange chicken was hard as a rock. It was like eating orange rock candy. The hong kong noodles were good but the protein in it was dry and flavorless. Will not likely go back. It is definitely not worth the price tag.

    Food and service was great but did not like how close the tables are to eachother. I could feel the man next to me breathing down my neck practically. Definitely made for an uncomfortable experience.

    Food is fantastic Trio of sashimi sliced to perfection and right out of the water fresh. Crispy shrimp dumplings were awesome

    The ambience was really nice, great service. The chicken Gyoza was delicious; Spicy tuna was so fresh and pork fried rice was delicious.

    By far my favorite resteraunt ever. The sushi melts in your mouth. Smoking dragon drink is awesome. All the food is also!!!

    The food is always excellent, and normally, the service is great. This past Friday night, we thought the service was way slower than usual and we've eaten here many times. We were there early, and it was not crowded at all. I had the egg roll and pork pot stickers and my husband had the shrimp tempura. We shared and everything was delicious. We never really care much for the music that's played; and, looking around ,the crowd was mostly late forties and older. We're in our seventies and prefer slow jazz or easy listening music played softly. I don't know WHAT the DJ was playing, and didn't recognize one song. And it was thumpingly loud, not what I'd call "energetic" just way too loud. I"m sure the DJ is capable of playing Marvin Gaye and other Motown artists. We always eat at 5:30, being older, so why can't he play stuff from our generation and crank it up later, if that's what the younger crowd (if there is one) wants.
