We believe wine is better with food & food is better with wine. A perfect pairing is an experience everyone should enjoy..often. Our unique approach to food and wine means we are "wine first". We first curate the wine list which includes 65+ wines by the glass and then design a food menu that specifically complements the wine. The kitchen is led by Executive Chef Julian Silvera who spent his early culinary career in restaurants in his native NYC. He then took his talents to Florida's Knife and Spoon, where he helped garner a coveted Michelin star. Chef Julian is passionate about sourcing hyperlocal ingredients & has a strong focus on sustainability. Our service team includes ten sommeliers and is proud to offer guests more than 1,000 wines by the bottle. We are a casually elegant wine bistro open Tues-Sat 5PM to 10PM. The Champagne Bar is open daily noon-10PM. Children are welcome on the patio. The Wine Bistro and Champagne Bar seats adults only. Live Music Nightly.

The Tasting House is right across Saratoga-Los Gatos road from the Los Gatos & University Bus Stop. Just walk down to University, cross the street, and head back up towards City Parking Lot 1. Walk into the parking lot and enter the Tasting House through our back entrance.

Join us for an evening filled with Champagne, excitement and a touch of Napoleonic flair as Confrérie du Sabre d’Or makes it's mark at the Tasting House. Dinner follows the Sabre Ceremony, which starts at 6 pm. Champagne & a four course dinner prepared by executive chef, Julian Silvera, will be served following the Champagne Sabre Ceremonies. $125 per person includes dinner and a glass of Champagne. Witness the thrill of sabrage with a modern Napoleonic sabre, crafted in France, using centuries-old techniques. Sign up to learn how to saber a bottle of Champagne too! Join us Fridays and Saturdays for a live band from 6PM to 9PM and a Solo pianist Tuesday through Thursday 6PM to 8PM, sometimes accompanied by a vocalist.

We had an incredible dinner last night…It was one of those meals that sticks with you. Right from the start, the atmosphere was something special. The live music added to the experience, making the whole evening feel warm, lively, and just a little bit magical. The wine list was seriously impressive…one of the best I’ve come across either domestically and internationally. The pairings were spot on, bringing out the best in every dish. And, speaking of food, the steak frites and braised short rib were absolutely delicious—perfectly cooked, deeply flavorful, and exactly what you’d hope for. Dessert was just as memorable. The Basque cheesecake and almond financier were both exceptional, the kind of sweet finish that lingers in the best way. If I had to nitpick, the amuse bouche bites and Korean fried chicken felt a little unbalanced, but honestly, that was a minor detail in an otherwise fantastic meal. The service was top notch, attentive, friendly, and never overbearing. Overall, it was a phenomenal night, and I can’t wait to go back.

We had an absolutely incredible experience! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed into a warm and elegant atmosphere that immediately set the tone for a special evening. We opted for the chef’s tasting menu with wine pairings, and every course was a masterpiece. The attention to detail, the quality of ingredients, and the perfectly curated wine selections made for an unforgettable culinary journey. Each pairing elevated the flavors beautifully, showcasing the expertise behind both the kitchen and the wine list. Adding to the atmosphere of the evening was the live jazz, which created a sophisticated yet relaxed ambiance. It was the perfect backdrop for a night of great food, wine, and conversation. We were hosting family from out of town, and they were absolutely blown away by the experience—everything from the service to the setting exceeded our expectations.

My wife and I visited Tasting House for her birthday dinner. We had a great overall experience. Brought a bottle of wine (corkage was $35), ordered a couple of starters and share 2 entrees and a side. The coriander soup was really good, and squid & giardineira was also refreshing and very good. The trout dish was not bad, but seemed a bit too simple. The truffle pasta was also decent, but at times felt a bit too doughy and lacking just a bit of flavor. For side we got pommes frites, and these fries were very good. Overall we really enjoyed our dinner. The ambience was great and the service was excellent. The live piano music was also very enjoyable. We would definitely visit again.
