The 1867 is the renowned licensed eatery, for a treat, located at Heart of The Shires Shopping Village on the A5, just north of Weedon, in the beautiful county of Northamptonshire.

Surrounded by beautiful countryside in the centre of England with lots of lovely boutique shops too!

We have many guests who conveniently meet here at the 1867 with friends, family and business associates from all over the country and indeed abroad.

Well behave dogs are very welcome with water and treats on arrival.

We are open from 9.30am for breakfast, every day, including bank holidays ( with exception to Christmas Day and Boxing Day ).

Our popular Afternoon Tea offering is available from 2pm until 5pm – please pre-book with any specific dietary requirements.

Our crew genuinely want you to leave our eatery ‘feeling better than you came in’ and we will do our upmost to make this happen.

Last orders at 3.30pm for food.

The renowned 1867 Breakfast Experience, available 7 days of the week. You can choose from the usual hearty breakfast classics, plus a few unusual breakfast twists for this time of the morning – the Breakfast Stack, for example, is just divine and enough to delight your tummy. All of our breakfast ingredients are freshly sourced as locally as possible – the sausages and bacon, in particular, are cured specifically for the 1867 guests. Complete your Breakfast Experience with our renowned COFFEE and large variety of specialist teas. Had a lovely lunch with a friend. It was her birthday and there was a balloon on the table. She also received a Prosecco and a voucher, made the day really special for her.

The welcome upon entering the cafe was frosty to say the least, asking for the front door to be closed as we were cold was met with disdain and difficulties however we were eventually moved when we would not accept the offer of blankets (we were sitting inside), waiting staff were the complete opposite and very welcoming however the whole experience was ruined by the hosts mannerisms, especially disappointing as this was to cheer everyone up after a difficult period, blanked upon paying I’m assuming as she didn’t like the fact we would accept to be cold! Won’t be visiting again, however note that people who were recognised by the host were treated completely differently…….

A lovely welcoming atmosphere and the staff are so nice and accommodating. A good extensive menu and options but still all good quality. The afternoon tea was displayed in a tasteful way , easy to share. My gift card came in the post beautifully presented. A great gift for someone or a nice afternoon treat.

Delicious smashed avocado on sourdough bread and a just as I like it ‘hot hot chocolate. Staff very pleasant I’ wear hearing aids and this morning the noise level was quite high, mainly coming from a table of 4 ladies, but like everyone else they were there to enjoy meeting up and good food.

Had such a lovely visit to this cafe today - It was a birthday treat & the staff went above & beyond to make it special The food was great! I spotted another table with the afternoon tea which looked incredible We were in the conservatory area which for one of our party who’s hard of hearing, was a little noisy - The staff were so attentive & as we left we mentioned another area was quieter - They suggested we request a quieter area when we book again, which we definitely will!
