Welcome to The Acle Steak, at The Kings Head Inn. We're a steakhouse & brasserie at the centre of the broads town of Acle, where you'll find the finest cuts of meat alongside contemporary pub classics, delicious sweet treats and a fine selection of beers & ales.

We also boast a large car park, 7 bedrooms, a beautiful courtyard and pub garden, plus dedicated family and function room.

Having looked at previous reviews we were a little dubious as to what to expect. However we experienced a very friendly welcome, lovely food - simple steak and chips with a peppercorn sauce. The steak was gorgeous and cooked to perfection and the chips were crisp and tasty. Restaurant was quiet so not much atmosphere, but this wasn’t an issue to us. Used a Groupon voucher and so great value for a week day lunch.

We have been to the Acle Steak on a number of occasions and not been disappointed but on this visit we both decided to have the steak frites. The dish was well presented but unfortunately the steak had sinew throughout, this could be seen where the steak had been sliced ,i left some and my partner left most of their steak, when we pointed this out we were informed that this can happen? with this type of dish. The restaurant and bar were not busy with only two tables occupied. We would be reluctant to order steak again which is a great pity as the establishment is called Acle Steak.

Staff very welcoming & polite. Great food options. A couple of things from the menu were not available but that was kindly put to us as we were seated. Very accommodating when asked for certain things to be removed/added. Steak was beautiful & burger was delicious. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent meal in a lovely atmosphere. Staff were attentive and all in all I can not recommend it enough,

Food and value was good , service was not although, waitress was very apologetic we had booking for 10am food arrived at 11 am as chef didn’t arrive until 10.30!

Always nice food but such little food for the money. You don't mind paying for good food if you get good value. The amount of lobster was a couple of small forkfuls; the cup of chips is a way of disguising how few are in it; cheesecake dessert was a sliver. All nice, but.....

Great food at good price . Beer and wine selection ok. Service a bit slow but overall very good.

Booked a table for 2 to use a voucher which we got from the local paper. This was giving discount if a steak meal was bought you could have steak frites for £5 instead of £21. On arrival we were shown to our seats . I then declared I had a voucher . The waitress then said there were no steak frites as they had had a busy lunch time because of the offer. However we did stay and had fish and chips. Nice fish but chips were dry. Really quite put out that first of all we weren’t told before taken to table that the offer couldn’t be offered. Surely a good business would have all this in hand and expect high demand. Anyway we had a table booked in a couple of weeks time so it was suggested that we call prior to the visit to ensure the availability. I do not think this is good business. We will not return.

Fantastic Sunday Lunch & Roast. We enjoyed a lovely meal as a family for adults and a child age 4 . The roast beef and roast pork were all very good as was the items ordered from their main menu. Lovely friendly service not rushed children made to feel welcome at the desserts were absolutely incredible . We will definitely return . Anyone reading the reviews on this restaurant? Should definitely ignore any negative or reviews where people are not satisfied.

Very lovely setting, very relaxing , tables not to near to each other, background music not to loud. Nice and clean. The food was excellent, top quality ingredients, expertly cooked and well presented. All the staff were very welcoming and polite and helpful. Very reasonably priced for the quality and service. Looking forward to returning.
