   We had booked an early table at 6pm. The pub was fairly quiet with a few tables taken and a couple of dogs. The service was OK. Food was very good. We gave up waiting for the bill and went to the bar. As we're leaving the pub was very noisy making difficult to chat.

   Such a lovely place food was excellent can see why it gets such good reviews. Staff were welcoming and helpful it was as a country pub with excellent food should be

   You can't fault this restaurant, the food is always great and the staff are excellent.

   Food was fantastic. The Angel is a lovely place to eat and ambience is wonderful. The staff are very friendly, but on this evening, the waitresses were very slow to bring the menus, take orders or clear plates. We had to get try and get their attention for both courses. Which for dessert took 10 mins to request a menu and 25 mins to then place the order which I then got up and ordered at the bar. We are relaxed diners and were not in a hurry, but it would be good if they had stopped and just checked in with us (and other tables) occasionally.

   Really enjoyable meal and a nice comfortable pub. Staff are always helpful and friendly.

    Everything was great but when ordering food, was told that the pies they had were not the ones on the menu due to their pie supplier. Would have been nice to have been told that prior to ordering. I wouldn't be put off going again as a lovely place and food we did have was very good. Big portions.
