We have closed for the year and will reopen 25 February 2025 with our new students. Book from 10 February.

The Apprentice Restaurant Sydney is a TAFE NSW licensed training restaurant.
Lunch 12pm to 2pm: three courses (entrée, main & dessert) for $44 or you can select any two courses for $39.
Dinner 6pm to 8:30pm: three course menu for $44.
(Our prices are excluding beverages). Group beverage packages are available to pre-purchase for the whole group.
Our meals are usually served Table d’hôte (alternate drop) and portions are limited.

Bookings are highly recommended to avoid disappointment. For group bookings of 11 people or more please contact us by phone 02 7920 0909 (9am to 4pm) or email si.theapprentice@tafensw.edu.au. Payment in advance is required for group bookings.
We accept payment by EFTPOS, Visa or MasterCard. We do not accept cash or split bills. There is one bill per table.
Dietary requirements must be advised 24 hrs in advance.

While we endeavour to seat all guests for group bookings on one table, this isn’t always possible with groups larger than 12, due to both space available in the restaurant, and the students’ learning requirements.

Minimum booking of 30 guests required to have exclusive use of the restaurant for sit down function. Maximum capacity 60 guests.

The noise level from the large group of students was very unpleasant. We are good friends who had not seen each other for ages. We had to shout to be heard. Very disappointing. There seemed to be no women in the waitstaff? The men were very hesitant to approach and didn’t display any anticipation of our needs. We are all ex Qantas Flight Attendants so we understand good service. We are aware that they are still learning, but still a little disappointing.

Thankyou for your feedback. We are sorry your experience didn't meet your expectations. We tried to mitigate the noise from the school group as much as possible by separating them from other guests with partitians. Our waitstaff are our hospitality students and the classes have females and males. Some students were absent when you attended lunch.

We had another fantastic evening at The Apprentice. Just wonderful! There was a slight timing delay between entree and main, but the kitchen recovered quickly, and the teamwork was a credit to the students. Well done!

Pleasantly surprised to have the dessert plate decorated with “Happy Birthday” and also to bevoffered a glass of dessert wine on the house.

The food was delicious, value for money. Staff were friendly and good ambience. We would definitely return to eat at the Apprentice.

Lovely evening at The Apprentice restaurant, the menu was delicious. The pumpkin ravioli was well seasoned and very tasty. Duck with lentils and cauliflower pure was scrumptious and desert coconut crème brûlée did not disappoint. Our waiter, Nicholas was very pleasant and looked after us very professionally. We enjoyed our evening and for a training restaurant very good value. Definitely visit and support the students who are training for a career in hospitality. 🙂
