Modern Vineyard Cuisine inspired by our Indigenous roots. We proudly sit on the traditional land of the Syilx People of the Okanagan Nation. Our inspiration for the name of our new signature restaurant comes from a chaptik story passed down through the generations of our First Nations people of the Okanagan.
The Syilx People of the Okanagan Nation approach to food is based on the creation stories of their culture and we’ve taken their stories as the inspiration for the name of our restaurant: “The Bear, The Fish, The Root & The Berry,” based on the story of the Four Food Chiefs.
The Four Food Chiefs are central: Skimxist Black Bear (chief of animals, representing self-sacrifice, leadership, giving), Ntytikxw Chinook Salmon (water creatures, perseverance, hard work), Speetlum Bitterroot (plants below the round, relationships to the land) and Seeya Saskatoon Berry (plants above ground, growth, strength, community) are legendary and the elements of indigenous cuisine.

Our New Year's Eve menu is a masterpiece, featuring carefully curated courses that highlight Italian flavours with a modern twist. Dishes like our saffron risotto with salmon caviar and the option to elevate with butter-poached lobster, or the choice of a delicately braised beef cheek pappardelle, bring elevated, exclusive flavours crafted by our culinary team. A specially prepared dessert course featuring handcrafted cannolis, Torrone, and Italian delicacies is offered to end the meal on a sweet note. Wine pairings available at additional cost.

We enjoyed an amazingly flavourful and delicious dinner at The Bear, The Fish, The Root and The Berry last evening. I had the beef bones and they were the most tender I have ever had. Accompanied with beautiful veggies. My husband had the bison steak which he thoroughly enjoyed. Our waitress, Ingrid (?), was lovely, attentive and charming. We look forward to returning.

Amazing restaurant! We had two breakfasts and three dinners there while staying at the Spirit Ridge. The dishes are very flavorful and beautifully presented, the staff is warm and welcoming, the service is excellent.

Lovely experience. Food was excellent and so was the service. It was dark so could not see the fantastic view but the grounds looked amazing. We will return. Thanks

The food was incredible and plated beautifully. It's a little crowded and it was busy so a bit noisy, but the space is small. The service was a little absent- once we received our food we didn't see our server again until we waved her over long after our plates were emptied. She also was very unfamiliar with bar terms. For the price of the food I would expect a little more upscale dining area and a much more knowledgeable and attentive server. But over all, the food was excellent and I would return.

Service was amazing, food was amazing,atmosphere was ok. My only complaint was I wanted just one glass of red wine and the choice was 25,27, or 29 dollars for one glass which I thought was crazy expensive,,,,however the meal and service were so nice I forgot about he pricey wine after

Very friendly and attentive staff. The food was good…turkey sandwich and a glass of bubbles. A beautiful sunny day with a great view. A very enjoyable couple of hours.

Treat yourself to this experience, we enjoyed our first one with friends so much we came back. Cheers to Oscar for making the night great from assisting with our wine selection and helping as we were a tad early, he made sure we were accommodated. I have to compliment the chef too for superb meals , 6 in total over two visits , all delicious and the presentation mouthwatering. When I come back to Osoyoos I will be dining here again.

Our group of four had a fantastic experience having Dinner. The setting was comfortable with a nice upscale casualness, the food sublime 🤩. Service was really nice , attentive and respectful. I would recommend treating yourself to a dinner here.

The unpleasant experience was not due to the staff or environment. They menu change was poor. Nothing looked appetizing so we left without ordering.
