Positioned in the heart of Old Town Toronto at Church and Front Streets, The Berczy is set to redefine the casual fine dining experience, blending contemporary Canadian/American cuisine with Mediterranean influences. With plans for a comprehensive cocktail program, extensive wine list, and a vibrant piano bar, The Berczy is poised for a grand opening in summer 2024 and aims to become a cornerstone in Toronto's dining scene.

    The dinner rolls and crab cake are a must! Cannot go here without getting one or the other. Steak Frites with the butter and the fries with garlic aioli was very addictive. The polenta needed a bit more salt, the braised beef could do without the crumble and could have more beef. The sticky toffee was incredible. The piano playing was good and added to the atmosphere. Highly recommend for a date

    The Berczy was fantastic! The steak was grilled to perfection, vibes were great and the service was very impressive. We will be going back

    Second time here. Don’t think we would return. Food wasn’t that great. Each of the three of us left 30% of an already small portion on our plates. The chicken was watery, the oxtail barely had meat and the burger was soaking in dressing with dried out fries. Waitress was mediocre at best. Place was packed so I assume everything was rushed. Except for the service. Not worth it when paying such a high price.

    Overall is good. The food tastes okay. Not a fan of the service: 1. Have asked a quiet/besides window place for birthday event, but not been given. 2. The server asked us to order more food even we already ordered four main courses + three drinks which I think should be totally sufficient for four ladies. The appetite is a personal thing to customers, I don’t think it is polite enough to ask for ordering more proactively and gave a unsatisfied attitude if we don’t order more! 3. The waiting time for food is too long. If you have anything else booked on your agenda after the meal, won’t recommend unless you expect to wait for at least 30mins-45mins for getting your food.

    Absolutely incredible!!!!!!!!! 15/10! I would go back a million times over! The vibe, the staff, the food —- all of it was perfect!!!

    We had a good friend from the UK visiting and brought him to the Berczy for dinner. Awesome! We had the shrimp cocktail and tuna appetizer to start. We had the 12oz bone in pork chop and lamb for mains! All the food was excellent! And, once again, Victor was our server and he is amazing (his assistant was great too…just can’t remember his name 😬)!

    We discovered this wonderful restaurant this summer and has an excellent brunch. Came back a second time and had an equally delicious meal with attentive staff and a wonderful atmosphere, looking forward to our return.
