The Black Horse pub in Standlake near Witney is a welcoming establishment, steeped in history
Historic Appeal: The Black Horse has been a pub since at least 1761, housed in a Grade II listed building dating back to the 16th century.
Traditional Charm: As a typical traditional English village pub, it retains much of its historic character.

Waitressing staff are amazing - friendly, welcoming, attentive and interact with you throughout. Staff and customers not as friendly in the main bar when you have dogs.

A wonderful Sunday roast in a cosy country pub! Beautifully cooked and plenty of food at a good price. Service was excellent too!

Really good venue. Plenty of choice as far as drinks were concerned. Pretty busy when we went, mainly due to a table of 15 eating alongside us! Roaring fires and excellent food. The service was good too. Would recommend booking. The car park was full of locals (great to see) and their 4x4's, so give yourself plenty of time as you'll probably have to park on the road - which is very dark in the winter months!

Excellent food from Specials board and Main menu. Service was unobtrusive but efficient. Busy Saturday evening with the bar full of locals. It's good to see a village pub being supported in this way.
