The food here is lovely - staff very friendly - on the night we last visited we were sitting below the speaker so a bit distracting and the decor is perhaps a little tired but all in all I would definitely recommend this pub for food and drink!

The service and food were excellent as usual. I do think the portion size had gone down slightly, not much chicken but what we got was lovely.

We have been coming here for several years and always had a lovely meal but on this occasion we felt the portion sizes to have been reduced, my husband got spare ribs for the starter and the portion was no where near like it used to be which was very disappointing for the price

Top quality food and service. We tried booking a table several days before but full, so we had a take-away - and this was as good as the meal we had in the pub. Would 100% recommend.

Fantastic food and service. Ordered the Thai prawn crackers to start & got about 3 times the amount we get at our local restaurant. Other dishes were a good size and absolutely delicious. Will come again.

It was our 1st time at this pub/restaurant and already planning a return visit The Thai green curry was mouthwatering, the black been sauce gorgeous, the curry powder dish moreish, and ( there's always 1 person who wants traditional ) the steak and ale pie just melted in your mouth. Reasonably priced and generous portions. Can't wait to go back

Situated in a picturesque village, the Blackwell Ox is our favourite pub! The menu is extensive, the service is the right pace, the staff are friendly and efficient and the food is delicious! What’s not to like?
