The Block - Midtown Detroit's favorite neighborhood bar & kitchen. Located right on Woodward Avenue in the heart of midtown. Our signature dishes include the salmon burger, fresh salads, broasted wings, & alfredo mac - just to name a few. Located one block North of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra & Max Fischer. -And located a few blocks north of Little Caesar's Arena, Fox Theatre, Ford Field, & Comerica Park.

Unfortunately The experience wasn’t the greatest From the server behaving as if she had better things to do and the food not being up to par and I’m brought up to their attention. There was a weird substance on my meal, and my vegetables were wilted, and it was just a very underwhelming experience and I’m truly disappointed especially with it being my first visit and I truly was excited for the outcome and left frustrated

Overall service & food were good. Bryson I believe the manager and the hostess when you come in were attentive with great service.

Seating was prompt on a busy Saturday. Service was friendly and attentive. Drinks were great and appetizers came quickly. Food was delicious with just the right amount of spice. Only ding is that I’m not a fan of high top tables. We’ll definitely put this place in the rotation.

We had a lovely dinner before the DSO. The seared salmon was excellent and our server was swift, polite, friendly. My only complaint was the noise level seated near the bar area made it difficult to talk.
