   On arrival the table didn't look very clean but as it was set I didn't speak out. The water glasses all had water marks on them as did the wine glasses when they were brought to the table. The service was slow. A server said they would bring menus and then returned to take order before menus had been given to us. The meals were ok. Most of our party had beef which all said was fatty. The meals went cold quickly as the plates seemed cold. The servers did seem young and inexperienced which could be a reason. They were all very polite.

   Great location, smart, clean and welcoming. Quality traditional fare served by polite and helpful staff.

   A very nice meal and good value. Vegetables very well cooked and Pan Haggerty wonderful. Good beer, nice friendly staff so a very nice lunchtime all round. It was busy and staff were having to work very hard so occasionally service took a little time but all good. This was Hexham Restaurant week - look forward to it coming round again

   We've ate here quite a few times recently, mainly on Sunday after discovering how good the Sunday dinners are. Today unfortunately the dinner wasn't up to usual standards, the pork was very chewy and the vegetables too hard. I hope this is just a one-off/blip because we've enjoyed all previous visits/meals.

   I went with a friend to celebrate her 70th birthday that was in December, the staff made us very welcome, we both had the fish pie with vegetables which was lovely then the chocolate and orange cheesecake and ice cream, my friend had fruit crumble and custard, I asked the staff to put a candle in her pudding which they did and sang happy birthday to her, it really made her day special, a memory she won’t forget of a special day, the puddings were delicious too, all in all a great experience coming here, the staff and food were excellent, I’ll definitely be back again 😊

   Fantastic place to go. Very comfortable surroundings. The food is lovely and good value for money Staff are brilliant and you are well looked after.

    Excellent Fish and Chips - chose the smaller size fish (which was still a decent size). Advisable to book at weekends as this is a very popular pub. Friendly staff.
