The Brush is an all-day Grand Cafe, Soul Music & Cocktail Bar in the heart of Hoxton with a large terrace. The seasonal menu pays homage to the ‘Grand Cafe’ genre, with inspiration taken from cuisines across Europe, offering a modern take on traditional dishes alongside new signatures.

Celebrate Christmas in the heart of Shoreditch, with our three course plated meal, served from 12pm to 4pm. Enjoy a welcome glass of bubbles to kick-off the festivities, followed by rich and flavourful dishes like the Smoked Duck Carpaccio with Pomegranate and Satsuma, or the Juniper Cured Salmon with Pickled Apples and Charred Onions. For mains, choices include the classic Roast Turkey Hen with Thyme Jus and all the trimmings, or opt for the Pan-Seared Halibut with Feves and Salmon roe. Indulge in our five-course set menu for £95 per person, including a glass of champagne on arrival and half a bottle of wine to share between two people, when you book our Early Bird sitting from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. With a dining time of 2.5 hours, you're welcome to continue the evening in our first-floor lounge, where live music and a DJ will keep the celebrations going until midnight. Alternatively, enjoy the same exquisite five-course menu with a glass of champagne on arrival when you book between 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM, with last orders taken at 9:00 PM. After dinner, join us in our lounge cocktail bar to soak up the vibrant atmosphere and entertainment. Celebrate in style for £95 per person!

I booked the Winter Terrace for the cheese fondue. The service was pretty slow and took a while to get drinks and even longer for the Fondue. We were a group of 7 and the fondue has to be ordered for 2 people. They would not accommodate for fondue for 1 person. The server who was lighting the fondue did not know how to handle the flame torch and was waving it very close to my head with the flame torch still lit. When the fondue came it was not a lot of food for the price and came with random vegetables like beetroot, radish and celery. The terrace also does not look like the pictures. Overall really disappointing experience.

Spent a whole day here… starting with family film club in the very comfy basement cinema followed by a chilled afternoon while the kids were kept entertained by the brilliant leaders at “The Kids Table”. Highly recommend lounging in the wraparound hotel lobby sipping on cocktails and watching the world go by…

Nice place but tricky to find - actually part of a hotel. Nice food - we had the lunch combo. Delicious French onion soup and avocado toast with a poached egg and a Virgin Mary. Very quiet which was fine.

Nice atmosphere. Service quite bizarre. Initially overly attentive and then non existent and the waitress didn’t really seem to have a clue what was going on! Food was only ok but the bread was amazing. Attractive building and a nice restaurant layout.

My experience was amazing from start to finish! Samuel greeted us warmly upon arrival, setting a fantastic tone for the visit. Joana showed us around downstairs, and her knowledge and friendliness made us feel right at home. The hotel itself is lovely, with every detail carefully considered. A special shoutout to Javier, the amazing manager, whose professionalism and attention to detail truly stood out. Can’t wait to return!

Loved this place, the staff are super friendly and attentive but not “in your face”. It is indeed a grand café, more of a grand brasserie. Can highly recommend the nibbles, beautifully served warm bread, hot padron peppers and superb iberico ham. Fab wines and really lovely mains. Even the espresso was spot on. Well done the Brush, we had a great birthday celebration for my husband. We didn’t try the cocktails but the mixologist was creating a range for staff training purposes and they looked amazing. Next time….

Nice environment although chairs cannot take coats on them so had to put them on the floor. Staff attentive. Food not great. Burger overcooked. Fish pie was huge, but under seasoned and bland. No new world wines.

Had a fantastic evening at this wonderful spot! The entire experience from the cocktail bar upstairs for drinks before dinner to the dinner was amazing!! Loved the DJ and live music at the cocktail bar. The service and food is fantastic! Check it out, you won't be disappointed. I'm going to be coming back again.
