The Bungalow Kitchen by Michael Mina presents a dynamic new social dining experience and vibrant community clubhouse in the heart of Tiburon – Marin County’s charming waterfront neighborhood along the San Francisco Bay. Award-winning chef Michael Mina and hospitality veteran Brent Bolthouse joined forces with renowned interior designer Martin Brudnizki to create a lively bohemian atmosphere with bold cuisine, five-star service, and thoughtful touchpoints that pay homage to Tiburon’s storied past. We normally feel the food is decent here and come for special evenings or occasions. We decided to do the xmas eve dinner this year since we were cooking for xmas. We had an 8pm reservation for 8 people. It was a set menu with a couple of choices for $100 plus per person. We arrived at 7:45pm. We were not seated until 8:45pm after being told twice that the people at the table had paid and they were getting the table cleaned up and then finally being told that the people were still at the table taking photos. No offer or attempt to put us at a different table. We ordered drinks right away. We had one drink order forgotten and another drink that was supposed to be an Arnold Palmer and they brought watered down lemonade. We then ordered appetizers. They came back to tell us that they were out of two of the appetizers we had ordered and then forgot one of the appetizers when they brought them to us. The tuna tartar, which we order often, was very dry and had no flavor. The sushi roll had so much wasabi that no one could eat it. We also ordered parker rolls for everyone. We were a party of 8, they brought us 6 rolls. It took over an hour for dinner to be served. We did not get dinner until 10pm (the restaurant was basically empty by then) and when dinner arrived they had forgotten one of the meals. By then we were so annoyed that we asked them to box up dessert and we left. Super disappointed by a pre-set dinner that was over $100 per person not including drinks.

For Christmas dinner, we showed up on time and waited 45 mins for a table for the prix fixe djnner. Dinner was good. Enjoyed the pasta with crab sauce. All good but not special.

Food was not as good as I remembered from a few years ago. Some of the dishes were not hot when they came out and service was not on spot.. I would expect better.

We ate there for Thanksgiving dinner. It was just my son and I, the Seabass was not very good, I almost encouraged my son not to order that the turkey entrée was very good, but for the amount of money we spent here the portions were small. And it would’ve been nice to have some bread and butter on the table, especially when one is drinking alcohol. Our waitress was absolutely adorable and so on top of her game. Of course we know this isn’t a pricey place, but $19 for a house margarita is a bit much! The view was fabulous. It was a beautiful clear night. So I’m so glad we went there but for the price, I was a little disappointed.

It was a busy night when we dine there. Food flavor seemed inconsistent. Some were extremely tasty and some were way too salty. Not sure if the the sous chef in charge of making the sauce was new. The location and window view of this restaurant is incredible. For this, we’ll return.

Exceptional experience for Thanksgiving! Prix fixe with many options. Portions were relatively large. Service was fabulous and attentive. Background music was perfect. Always a pleasure!!

We dined downstairs where the space is beautifully designed. We avoided the more expensive items on the menu and dined well on less expensive fare. A burger was delicious. Service was excellent. A glass of Malbec was lovely.
