   Most enjoyable experience excellent food and very friendly staff, very warm and welcoming atmosphere, one of our favourite places to dine out at would definitely recommend to anyone.

   This was our first visit. The food was lovely. We would have given it another star for service if we had not been given the desert menu, then left for 30 minutes until my husband had to go to the bar to say, leave it and can we have the bill. It was a bit pricey, especially as there was service charge added. We ordered still water (As well as a bottle of wine) and not tap water and it arrived in a glass Cartford Inn bottle. We were charged £4.20 for it. I asked could we have the empty bottle but was told no. Is this because it is refilled with tap water for £4.20? Thank you.

    We chose the Winter MENU which was excellent value for the quality. Lovely surroundings and excellent service. In addition to the great food the beer and wine we had were very good. It is a while since we have been to The Cartford and it reminded us we must visit more often.
