The Common is a cozy gastro-lounge where typical pub and comfort foods are elevated to uncommon heights. Our scratch kitchen offers seasonal menus with an emphasis on creativity and quality. Our dynamic culinary scene spotlights new trends, modern takes on refined classics, chef's choice features and pop up events.

We offer a fine selection of craft, small batch, local and imported beers as well as an innovative mix of herbal, vintage and modern cocktails, spirits and wines.

Set in a lounge style space with a vintage meets modern décor; our aim is to create a community based upon experiencing new food, music and culture in downtown Edmonton. The multifaceted venue features an eclectic mix of electronic, indie, funk, hip hop, soul, classics and live music from local and worldwide artists.

Perfect for lunch, dinner, corporate functions (private bookings available), an after work drink, or a late night out- the Common is the place to come together. Summer patio seating available.

    Good value, excellent service and a cool vibe. The local beer selection is fantastic, our server and the other team members were super friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend checking The Common out for drinks, or appetizers or for a good meal at a great price.

    The chicken literally melted in our mouth! Even something as simple as 'Nachos' were served with tangy onions, totally different from usual. The ambience, specially their wall with mirrors and artwork sets an opulent tone.

    We had a fabulous time at the Common!! Great service, right from the door. Excellent food and drinks!! Fantastic ambiance, decor and music. Our server was AMAZING!! She was attentive, knowledgeable, friendly absolutely wonderful!! We will definitely be back!!

    My first time at The Common. Atmosphere and decor were nice. However, it was a tad loud due to a few larger gatherings in the main space. My only other comment, the gravy was quite salty in my poutine. It seems they salted the fries and added the gravy. Was a little overpowering salt wise. Great server and good food otherwise 🤗

    Elysse (hopefully I have her name correct) made our date night experience amazing! The brie cheese and drinks were delicious! Strongly recommend this place for a nice weekend experience.

    Food is nothing to write home about. Ordered the steak frites rare, showed up medium - guessing the cooks have little experience… for being the most expensive dish on the menu you’d also think that you wouldn’t receive the bottom of the basket fries but here we are - with a side of lumpy gravy to boot. Chicken burger was good however, so stick to the traditional pub food if going. They were also out of key ingredients for cocktails , which was a bit of a surprise on a Friday night at 7pm. Servers were friendly enough - just short staffed it seemed, so we received very little attention. Cherry on top was dirty cups, but happens to best I’m sure. In summary, it is okay. Best thing going is fair pricing on premium liquor. Enjoy the pub atmosphere - just don’t expect anything beyond mediocre and you should be fine. Many better choices available IMO.
