After four successful years on the Upper West Side, we are thrilled to be opening our second location, bringing The Consulate’s diverse and global concept to Midtown. We welcome our regulars, new neighbors and friends, to experience the space, which celebrates the French-style bistro of our sister location with a few surprises across the board, ranging from exciting additions to the food & beverage menu to a refreshed design. We look forward to Midtown discovering what The Consulate is all about,” said Restaurateurs Metodija and Kiril Mihajlov.

The Consulate captures the city’s rich diversity and vibrant mix of world influences throughout its concept, food & beverage and design. The idea of The Consulate was born from Metodija’s experience as a foreigner pursuing the American dream in New York City.

Excellent menu choices. Quality of the food was very very good. The bar scene happy hour what is energetic and fun. The noise level in the restaurant was a bit of a downside. I thought after we left the bar area, The noise would subside a bit, but it didn't. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good French meal and nice time out on the town.

Lovely restaurant with great food & warm ambiance beautifully decorated for the holidays. Caesar was an excellent server —very attentive & efficient & so nice & friendly. Would highly recommend it & will definitely go back

This spot has great potential...it's beautiful inside, and the menu has something for everyone as well as a terrific lunch special option. I'm hoping my low marks are a result of them still being new and working out the kinks, but neither the food or the service was very good for us today. Fingers crossed our next visit will be better...it is a lovely option to have in midtown if they can get it right!

Great food but definitely on the pricey side. I had the duck breast and my husband had the salmon. The escargot was also great!

Over rated.. it was very loud so not good for a romantic birthday meal for my partner. Waiter was not friendly or attentive, didn’t ask how the food was or if we were ok even once, or if we wanted more drinks/dessert, my girlfriend asked for steak blue but came medium. Definitely not worth it!

Food was good and ingredients were great but service was very slow so our drinks came out warm and good came out cold.

It was frustrating... out of champagne out of oysters. Brought third choice champagne barely chilled. Disappointing.

we arrive on time and 1 hour later we were still waiting for our table with no information and no follow up. We felt neglected and it was rude not to advise that there will be long wait. We left and never ate and never will ate there
