Taking its distinct taste inspirations mainly from Southeastern Anatolia Region, The Counter enriches its presentation and atmosphere with the cultural heritage of the Balkans.

Fire, both literally and figuratively, is at the heart of what we do here. Its igniting power fuels our passion and nurtures us with inspiration.

With this passion, The Counter seeks and finds the best artisans, be it a butcher, a blacksmith, or a potter, who are amorously committed to their crafts. It then brings the best of these crafts and techniques from their local ateliers to The Counter’s London location.

    The food was really unique and tasted amazing, the Baba ghanoush and the kebab were amazing. The staff were really friendly and accommodating. Prices were on the more pricey side but I would say its worth it for the dishes.

    My experience at this restaurant was nothing short of extraordinary. I never imagined it would become one of the finest dining experiences of my life. The flavours, the ingredients, and the masterful execution of each dish left me in awe, sparking curiosity about how such perfect combinations were created. My deepest compliments to the chef and the entire team for crafting an unforgettable culinary journey. Without a doubt, I will be returning to this remarkable place again.     Waitress was super helpful and friendly but the whole experience felt a bit cramped - the tables next to us were really close and there wasn’t much room for all the dishes they had brought out. The restaurant also smelt strongly of cigarette smoke.

    Delicious food. Shame about some of the other elements of the experience. Service was a bit haphazard, with staff forgetting whenever we asked for water, etc. We were on the raised table opposite the bar, which is in an unfortunate position - we regularly were jostled and our bags and items mistakenly kicked/hit as staff passed by. As it was also in an alcove/corner, it was extremely tight and difficult to manoeuvre in and out. Suggest that table be completely removed as it did somewhat ruin the experience even though the food was delicious.

    It was pretty cold in there. Food was pretty good. Service was pretty slow. Waiters kept bumping into our backs (seats too close together)
