Great food, fine ales, plenty of gin and a friendly atmosphere – what more could you want from a restaurant and country pub! 2024 has seen an extensive £150,000 refurbishment creating a stylish and contemporary restaurant & country pub..

Set in the tiny, picturesque village of Skipwith only ten miles south of York, it is the main destination inn in the area. The delicious created dishes on our menu are locally sourced and reflect the changing seasons, mirroring the wonderful walks to be found through Skipwith Common, right on its doorstep.

Everything was perfect. Extra little touches, as it was my husband’s birthday, a card was left, and a beautiful designed dessert. Thank you for everything.

Delicious food, nice, busy atmosphere, great service. Sat in the bar near the fire and the dogs were happily under the table with enough space.

I feel staff went above and beyond for me as I have a peanut allergy and my choccy brownie was served with plain vanilla ice cream and ensured it was nut free. Thank you very much (we live to fight another day)

Warm, friendly greeting on arrival by all staff members , great atmosphere, everyone genuinely happy. The food choices were plentiful as were the portion sizes. The food was beautifully presented and tasted delicious. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the service. We will return. Well done to every staff member involved in making our family get together a great one.

Lovely place, very modern & great decor. Had a wonderful Sunday lunch, lots of meat well cooked & great yorkshires & veg. Nice big portions & great attentive service. Highly recommend

Long overdue date night and I decided to book a table for two on the 21st of February. My wife had the trio of lamb and I had the steak pie. The food was cooked perfectly and the portions were ideal. For desert we had the sharing platter which was great. The price was good which made the whole experience a great one. Will be definitely booking again and the Drovers Arms is thoroughly recommended.

My husband and I celebrated our Wedding Anniversary here due to the good food and being local to us. The team had written us a card and decorated a desert plate saying Happy Anniversary, this was a lovely touch. Our server was new and she did amazingly, all the staff were polite, professional and took care of us as soon as we walked through the door. Would highly recommend

Stunning from start to finish. From the wonderful staff to the gorgeous food. Friendly and warm atmosphere and nothing was too much trouble. Also so lovely they made a fuss of our 7 year old too which she loved! Thank you so much for making my husbands birthday meal so memorable. We can’t wait to come back again. Thank you!!
