Fried Chicken: all natural, secret brine and breading, and spicy honey. We start with cage free, free roaming, all natural chicken. It’s brined, dredged, then dropped into custom-built fryers. Its got a little kick and is served with our house made hot honey. Our sides are modern takes on down-home favorites. Made in house every day.The lively atmosphere is relaxed and upbeat — driven by a blues heavy soundtrack.

We are from Dayton and were in Indianapolis for Moulin Rouge and found The Eagle to eat at. We were very pleasantly surprised at how good the food was and our server, Erin, was just great. Answered all our questions, was efficient and very personable. We were very happy for the experience.

Not impressed with the chicken. I have for sure had better. Mac n cheese ok not good enough to bring home left overs but did like the biscuits and blackberry jam

First time here. Food was absolutely AMAZING! Service was a little slow. She gave great suggestions for food was just slow to check back. The real only disappointment was that you don’t have dessert as we were there to celebrate our son’s 22nd bday.

The Eagle might offer the best fried chicken in the state of Indiana. Their sides are a must (especially the mashed potatoes).

Loved the food our waitress lulu was awesome it was a little louder than I would like but we were right by the bar on New Year’s Day lol so I was kind of expecting it but I would definitely go back

We made reservations and got right in, seated and drink order made. Our drinks came out fast and we made our order. We got the kids the drumsticks of 5 and us a whole chicken. We also got Mac and cheese, greens, shrimp and grits and cornbread. Everything was delicious and although our waitress went MIA for a while the bartender ended up coming over to make sure us and the two tables by us were ok. I've been a couple times now and it's always great.

Definitely the best chicken in Indy, the sides were delicious. Our server was attentive and pleasant. We will be back.

Difficult parking but that's to be expected on Mass Ave. I could barely get inside the door because of all the delivery drivers blocking the entrance waiting for their orders. They were holding the door open which made it very cold inside the restaurant. It is December afterall. So I was chilly during my entire meal. The place has very little charm and no ambiance. The succotash was excellent. It would have been better if it had been hot. The greens were pretty good, although collards are just not my favorite. These were seasoned well. I was disappointed in the chicken. After all these years of hearing how great the chicken at the Eagle is..it's really nothing special. I ordered the five legs. They were served lukewarm and not crispy. Texture was ok. They weren't dry so cooked well but they tasted a little gamey actually. They were not very well seasoned. Sides to go are smaller than portions received at u dine in. We dined in and ordered a carryout. Large portions of greens and succotash. I would give this place another try but wouldn't make a special trip. Service was on point and friendly. I didn't hate it but I didn't love it ....meh.
