Located proudly in the heart of Long Beach City, the Eldo - formerly known as the Eldorado - has been a staple in the LBC restaurant community since 1957.
Owned by South African native Trevor Nettmann since 2012 - the Eldo has been restored to its fullest potential & now boasts an eclectic menu of both American // South African fare.
With a sole focus on serving the highest quality food + craft cocktails & locally brewed craft beer - is passionate about cultivating both a local // international menu with an equally captivating atmosphere for each guest.

The service was excellent as usual . The Halibut was the best I’ve had. Hope this and the pulled pork sandwich stay on the menu

My favorite local dinning place, this is my go-to for getting together with friends, good food, and great atmosphere, can't go wrong with The Eldo!

I’ve dined at Eldos half a dozen times over the past year. No matter what you order the food is always great, as is the very prompt and efficient service and the selection of beers on tap. My only complaint is the very small parking lot with only two ADA spots. And last night, a very large extended club cab pick-up truck was partially blocking the very narrow travel lanes through the lot. Had to park off-site in the residential neighborhood and walk a block.

Our reservation was at 7pm. We got sat at about 7:10 even though there were many empty tables. As soon as we had the opportunity to order a drink, we did as well as an appetizer. It was a bit of a long wait for everything. When the server came out again, we ordered our entrees.. Our entrées arrived at 8:13. When the appetizer was brought out, we asked the young man that brought it out, for small plates, he did not bring them so we had to eat out of the same dish. When he brought it out entrees, we asked him for another round of drinks, he did not give that information to the server. And then, when we asked him for to go boxes, you guessed it… ….They seemed very short staffed, even though there were a lot of empty tables. Neither of our streaks were cooked properly, but we didn’t say anything as it would have taken too long to redo. We’ll give it another try, maybe it was an off night.

Today was my first time at the Eldo and it was absolutely fantastic the food great, service, seating, ambiance and the prices were also good this was a special experience it felt modern and nostalgic at the same time thank you Ivy M and Kevin in the kitchen for enhancing our experience see you again soon Scoops!🍨

We had an excellent experience again today as always our survey server Ivy was fantastic as always, highly recommend sitting in her section if you visit this restaurant .

As always, theservice,food,ambiance was great! I took 7 people to dinner tonight to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Everyone enjoyed the night from the moment we entered. Our reservations were for 6:30 and by 6:32 we were seated at our table. The food was delivered to the table hot and cooked to perfection. The cocktails were served within 5 minutes of being ordered and they were not short poured at all and were delicious. The waiter, sorry dude I forgot your name, was quick to bring water and take our drink order. He was on it, I mean he never missed checking in us and getting whatever we needed when we needed it, and was very pleasant and conversational.

We love the Eldo - never disappointed when we dine there. Excellent food - this time, in our dinner party, we had the filet, the halibut and the beef Wellington. All entrees were delicious! We would highly recommend The Eldo for an enjoyable dining experience!!!
