The Eskdale is located in the heart of the majestic North York Moors National Park on the banks of the river Esk, a great northern trout and salmon river. Established in 1865 as The Station Hotel it has been in continues use as a public house since then.

Recommended by friends and was not disappointed We ate in the bar as we had brought dog with us and they couldn’t have been more hospitable Service was spot on the food we ordered was delicious and the Guinness was fab Would highly recommend

As always, such a great night was had at the Esk. It is the best dining experience on the North York Moors, fantastic!!!

Food was delicious, service was friendly informal and just right. Privé was a touch high but would definitely come again and strongly recommend. A lovely pub and lovely food.

Always amazing food, great service and always welcoming to us and our friends and family. Our friends loved the food today, their first time visiting. We are very lucky to have this place on our doorstep.

We enjoyed a genuinely warm welcome to this lovely country pub with a fantastic menu from staff who were friendly & attentive. The food was delicious from starter to dessert, with every dish being an appetising choice. Hv already thoroughly recommended to friends & family - we’ll definitely be back.

We had the most lovely evening. The staff went above and beyond to make my partners dads 60th a lovely occasion. I cannot thank them enough for such going the extra mile for us. The food was absolutely delicious everyone in our party said it was one of the nicest meals they’d had. We hope to come back again soon to sample more of the menu. Thank you again for everything !

Another excellent visit to the Eskdale. The menu is well conceived with some interesting twists but these do not detract from the really good produce. Our only 'niggle' was that our food could have been warmer. The service was outstanding and the value for money for this standard of cooking was really good. Thoroughly recommended
