    Todo estuvo fenomenal. Las camareras muy profesionales todas. La comida muy rica. La ubicación de la mesa con vistas a la playa preciosa.

    Sunday 730. No crab no oysters no hot or cold platters two of the specials not available. Told no mussels by one member of staff then another decided yes there were. All just very poor

    The food was value but sadly overcooked lobster which makes it rubbery, I told the staff but they didn't care, the view is stunning but staff are arrogant and don't make for a great overall experience, there are a LOT better places in Whitby

    Fisherman's Wife was recommended to us by the hotel where we were staying in Whitby. Best fish n chips we've eaten in a very long time. We chose the cod and scampi. Beautiful piece of cod and the scampi was whole breaded prawns. Staff were very accommodating, we arrived early for our booking and they found us a table, even though they were very busy. We will definitely return. Thank you for making my first trip to Whitby a memorable one.

    The menu is extensive, so hard to choose. We had the scampi, which was lovely, would definitely have it again. The staff were very polite and the ambience of the restaurant was good. We had a window table and the views were great. Would definitely recommend.

    We have been visiting the Fishermans Wife once a year for many years. The overnight yearly outing to Whitby(from Lancashire)is specifically to have a meal at the FW, as the place has always been so special. WE WONT BE DOING THAT ANYMORE. Sad to say, this place is no longer special. The reason is not one specific thing, but a collection of little changes. We realise that businesses need to economise where they can, and we are not saying that the place is now bad.......its just AVERAGE. When asked what drinks we wanted, the guys ordered Draught Bitter as usual....NO LONGER AVAILABLE (bottles only). We ordered 9 Oysters, which used to come accompanied with chopped onions and chopped chorizo......NO CHORIZO ANYMORE. (Also, no individual plates to eat from???). One of us ordered the Seafood platter, which was a favourite of his. What he got was more of a salad. The seafood WAS NOT a platter. I ordered Vegetable & Chickpea curry and rice, which I supplemented with a bowl of chips and a BATTERED COD(basically, TWO meals!!). Our bill (3 of us) came to £156. For a "SPECIAL" meal, we would be happy to pay that, but we're really sorry to say Fishermans Wife, you are no longer "Special". Thanks for the memories, but we won't be coming back soon

    It was our first visit to Whitby, the staff were very welcoming and efficient. The food did not disappoint - great portions with stunning views over the bay, the location alone is worth a visit. 🌊 A proper gem on the Yorkshire coast ⭐️
