    We booked a table through open table, turned up to a very busy pub, to be told that the bookings from open table to not pull through in their system and that they could not sit us. Very unhappy.

    Lovely Sunday roast in York. Very cozy pub with lots of history and haunting. Great staff and good food and drinks.

    Love it here - always busy so booking essential. Friendly, good food served in good time. We always go here when in York.

    Arrived and was told it is not their problem if the open table app says we have confirmation of our booking was escorted off the premises by security on the request of Daryl the team leader, we are residents in York and found the whole experience traumatic, I was with my aunt who is almost 70 and was in shock being removed by security, we are from a from a family of public and and really have only seen actions like this on the movies !!!!

    Excellent food in a lovely pub in the centre of York. Despite this being a busy Saturday afternoon the table was ready for us and the food and service were great. Would certainly recommend.

    Great service, people in york are so friendly and welcoming.. what a beautiful quirky pub and food was lovely.. highly recommended
