   We really enjoyed our first visit to Cafe Grand. The whole experience was really good. The surroundings, the food and the staff were excellent. We enjoyed the Spring Lunch menu, which was great value.

   The ambient at Grand hotel is very good. The food was nice but very expensive e.g. 3 tiny orancini, the size of quail eggs for £10?!! One would naturally expect a bit more. Talk about the wine. 🍷 A large glass of Malbec cost £18. That’s more like central London prize. But the staff were pleasant and service was good.

   A truly fabulous Sunday dinner with good service, superb food and totally unrushed allowing the opportunity to talk, which had been the reason for meeting. Nothing could have been improved on this occasion

   Perfect service and beautiful food as always. The service is the right balance between leaving you to enjoy your evening while being attentive.

   We had the winter warmer lunch menu . The menu was the same as last Wednesday when I dined with friends. Unfortunately the mushroom soup on this occasion was very salty and I was unable to eat it. The menu stated teriyaki butter milk chicken but when it came it was BBQbreaded chicken bites and again salty. When questioned the waiter said the menu changes but the written menu hadn’t changed. Very puzzled what exactly was being served because we may well have ordered something else . The main courses of steak frites were nice. The burger was fine but again salty. To summarise the menu needs addressing and also levels of salt. I dine here on a number of occasions and it is always very good. Just not the best day today .

   Our favourite restaurant and always a fantastic meal! Exceptional food, service, drinks and company and a perfect setting in the best hotel!

   The Grand is always a real treat fab food and service .The staff are all very professional I highly recommend it

   We had the evening meal 2 courses and it was delicious . Not had pork for years but this was outstanding flavour and texture .

    I have been going to the Grand for food for many years and have not had a bad meal until last Friday. We had the Steak and Ale Pie which very low quality, the steak was not at the quality you would expect for the money, my rice pudding dessert had to be left after a mouthful. Hopefully this was just a blip because it was Valentine's Day?
