There is a private party room available in the back of the restaurant for sit-down gatherings of 32 people and more room in the lobby that has a small bar and private bathrooms. The handicap accessible entrance is in the rear of the restaurant and there is plenty of parking. This room is available for corporate functions, weddings, birthdays, retirement, or any type of get together you would want. You can choose a custom menu or choose the catered party off the menu. There is a projection screen in place for work related meetings or fun gatherings with TVs which can feature art or sporting events.

A treasure hidden away in Port Charlotte. Other than New York City, the high level of musical talent is outstanding!

First time coming here and we’ll definitely be back. The food was amazing, the wine was great, and the live music was charming! Our server Zach was very attentive and welcoming, and the manager is a great guy. It’s one of those tucked away places that you find on a whim and then brag about to all your friends

Maggie was an awesome server. She helped us pick an amazing dinner to celebrate our 10th anniversary. The pistachio goat cheese was incredible. Then we each had a cup of soup (I had lobster bisque that was amazing). And we shared the rib eye for two. We are incredibly picky with steaks at a restaurant because my husband makes an amazing one at home. This steak was cooked to perfection exactly the way we ordered. Then to close out the evening, we got to try the peppermint cheesecake that the chef had made just that morning as a test. Divine! We thought the music was a little on the distracting side but it was fun to have live music while we ate. Overall, an excellent experience and we will be back!

Our first time there- we were surprised how good it was. Terrific food, really great wait staff and jazz music besides. Not the fanciest setting but it was decorated with a holiday vibe and we really had lovely meal. We plan to go back with visiting family Christmas week and the menu has something for absolutely everyone

Jazz music was very nice but very expensive for what we got and the quality of food was very poor . Coconut shrimp appetizer was so overcooked to brown black and sauce was horrible that it came with , the chowder was tangy tasted old , I got filet and scallops and the filet was fair grade of meat definitely not a good grade but cooked perfect and came with 2 small no flavor grilled scallops that were suppose to be U10 ..my husband got snapper that definitely was previously frozen pretty much non-edible to eat .. finished with the crème brûlée which also had hardly any flavor at all !! Very disappointed.. only good thing was our server was so nice and very good and the music was great to but otherwise won’t be back to eat .. maybe just drinks and music unfortunately..

My wife & I ordered the Rib Eye steak dinner for two! Our steak was perfectly cooked to Medium rare & very favorable! Unfortunately we didn’t eat our mashed potatoes because they had way too much garlic! We really enjoyed the band, cocktails & ambience!

We love the food, ambiance and service at 1951 normally. My husband's 80 birthday there was excellent. Thanksgiving however was quite disappointing. None of the food had any flavor. We asked for lemon to season the red snapper and it arrived after we'd finished eating. Potatoes, gravy, turkey, dressing - all tasted the same. We will be back - just not for a holiday, limited menu meal.
