I went here with my mum to celebrate our joint birthdays, and we were treated with princess treatment by a young man called Eric. It really did lift the vibes up with his amazing humour. He had a lot of manners when greeting us and asking us about what we wanted on the menu. The food was also amazing and the cocktails ! So, Thankyou again Eric for last night ✨

It was my boyfriends birthday and I had booked this place for a nice meal - the food was lovely yet we ordered some rice which did not arrive until after we had finished our mains which was disappointing but our server did remove the rice from the bill which was lovely. Our server herself was lovely but was obviously very busy as at times it was hard to track her down, when we needed help we turned to the server of the table next to us and she did not seem impressed to have to help us at all and was quite rude a few times. The food was lovely, however given how much I paid for the meal - I couldn’t help by feeling a bit let down by the service, and as it was my boyfriends birthday this was a shame.

Normally I wouldn't choose a Sunday night for a celebration night, but it was the only night I could get our young adult children and their partners together. Possibly it would have been more fun on a different night. It was a bonus to see the option of the Samurai set menu being available - and the options and the meal was really good and everyone was happy with their food choices. We tried all the 3 desserts in addition and they were different and excellent. The surroundings were great fun and we loved the slightly over the top decor - great floor! However, for me, the massive downside was the service or rather lack of. Every single waiter we interacted with seemed to want to be somewhere else, probably not even in the restaurant. There was a complete lack of pleasant delivery when setting down our plates - mumbled titles of dishes etc. It was difficult to attract the waiters attention (apart from at the begininng when taking our order and chasing for drinks). Our pre-dinner light bites were unceremoniously thumped down with our starters, with no explanation - instead of being with our drinks. I wondered if this lack of service was because we were all on the set menu (which of course would be both awful and self-defeating) - and I couldn't see any waiters raising much warmth or a smile with anyone else. It felt rather that we were dealing with slightly churlish bouncers who had been given the job of waiting at tables for the night. As regular Ivy customers, I value the extra special service one usually gets which really helps make the evening feel a bit more of an occasion (Chelsea Ivy mostly, but Wimbledon, Richmond & Kensington). Last January we took our son and a friend to the special 1947 set menu experience (which was a great value meal for customers - possibly tight margin for the restaurant) - and we were treated like royalty. That experience made us feel like having cocktails and extras. More importantly it made us feel like coming back.

Beef dish was not up to par , it was really tough meat not tender at all . Not worth the money tbh

We celebrated our dating anniversary at The Ivy Asia, Chelsea, it was an amazing experience: the location was very easy to find, the atmosphere in the restaurant has been breath taking the attention to detail was impressive all dishes have been presented with grace and taste. I had the Salmon Teriakey and my partner had the BBQ pork belly, both dishes tasted DEVINE!!!! Stuffed aubergine , side dish was best aubergine we ever tasted, I wish there was a main dish consisting in that , it was a delight! For desert we had Samurai, a dish consisting in ice cream chocolate mousse brownies and brownie crumbs a sweet and consistent desert, enough for two people, definitely enough for sharing. Complementary we were offered Mochi ice cream with a Happy Anniversary message on a chocolate pice! It was an experience we both enjoyed very much and we look forward to our next visit to London to come back to The Ivy Asia ! Thank you very much!
