    A very disappointing evening at the Ivy. We were greeted by an unfriendly host and told our table wasn’t ready - we arrived on time for our reservation . Sent to wait at the bar but were ignored by staff so waited 15 minutes to be served a drink. After half an hour I went back to the host to find out about our table and was eventually given one, though ungraciously. Our food arrived fairly quickly but our bottle of wine didn’t come out until after we had started eating. The food was ok but nothing special. We didn’t receive an apology for the delays and left feeling very sure we wouldn’t return.

    I didn’t think the food was as good as usual last night Prawn Cocktail hardly any sauce Duck curry looked like pulled pork and not that tasty

    Very disappointing very slow service had to constantly ask where food and drinks were, crammed in obviously they have added more tables so the waiting staff were under pressure. It was a birthday treat for one of our party. Had to rush down our desserts and drink at the end as we had a taxi booked for 10pm the table was booked at 7pm so we thought three hours would be enough time. Not relaxed at all.

    Service was awful. Not enough staff. Had to wait over 30 minutes to order. Drinks took about 20 minutes to arrive each time we ordered. Food was very average.

    We was left for a really long time and then felt very rushed because the car was about to run out almost over an hour for a cream tea. Wait 40 minutes before we were seen .. the waiters kept disappearing. It was incredibly busy though but first time and not a great experience.

    Lovely place for a special occasion, the staff were fantastic and I can't praise them enough! The food is good, we had the winter menu , would have enjoyed the normal menu, but we couldn't have it with the 1917 Jazz evening we booked . There was not much selection on the winter menu and a little less for people on a gluten free diet. Overall it was a great evening and the staff made it very special for us!!! It is an expensive evening but we really enjoyed our memorable evening.
